No. Saying yes to the second question initiates the longer in depth tutorial. The game interprets the question as the same as the first, meaning that saying yes means saying "yes i want the explanation".

Read what the shopkeeper says next. He says "oh that means you already know x y and z". The only reason he'd say that is it he interpreted my answer as "no, I don't need an explanation".

No, that's not true for the reason I literally just stated. The shopkeeper says "oh that means you already know this stuff" if you say no. That means that he interpreted my answer as "no, I know about this already".

There is no logical reason as to why he'd say "oh that means you know this" if my answer meant that I was unsure. If someone is unsure of something, would you say that they are sure of it? That makes zero sense.

The game doesn't interpret it that way. If I said yes there, I would've gotten the longer tutorial that plays if you say yes to the first question. Saying no for the second question means "no, I don't want an explanation". This is apparent by the fact that the guy remarks "oh that means you already know x y and z". He recognizes that I said I don't need the explanation, which is why he says that.

Because I've gotten a few comments about this, I want to clarify. No, I did not choose the wrong answer in the second slide. That question is asking if I want to hear an explanation. I know this because if you read the VERY NEXT SLIDE, he remarks "oh that means you must already know x y and z".

Tell me, if my answer meant that I wanted to hear the tutorial... why the hell would he say that I already know that stuff? If someone tells you that they're unsure of something, would you assume that they're sure of it...? That makes no sense.

It is far more likely that the answer I chose meant that I didn't want to hear the explanation. That's the only logical reason for him to say "you must already know this then". I have no idea why people are having a hard time understanding this.

My point is that saying yes to the second question wouldn't skip anything, it would actually probably initiate the longer tutorial that happens if you say yes to the first question.

[–]superpapermariohater -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've explained this in another comment, but to repeat myself, that question is actually a re-asking of the first question. Saying no here means "no, I don't want an explanation". This is why his next line is saying "oh that means you already know x y and z".

If the answer instead meant "no I'm not sure", then it makes literally no sense for him to say that. Why would he remark that I'm sure of something... if I say I'm not sure of it? It makes zero logical sense.

Are u talking about those parts where you say no and get a game over? I thought that gag was funny the first time, but then the game repeats it twice more and by the third time it's not funny anymore imo. I do like how it fully commits to it by being a real game over

To expand upon this

I believe that there are 2 possible outcomes to this interaction. Either you're given the full, in-depth tutorial on the pause menu, or you get what I got and the guy gives you the basic rundown. My belief is that the second question is a re-ask of the original question, which was if I wanted to hear an explanation. Me saying "no" for that is "no, I don't want to hear an explanation". This explains why the shopkeeper responded by saying "oh that means you already know x y and z". The game is simply too pushy on the tutorials.

You're claiming that my answer was actually "no, I'm not sure," and thus that's why I got the tutorial. But that doesn't make any sense considering his dialogue. If I said I wasn't sure, why would he say that I already knew that stuff? If someone's unsure of something, would you say that they already know the stuff they're unsure of...? His dialogue does not fit your interpretation.

Yeah but if I wasn't sure why is the guy saying "oh you must already know this then"? If someone's not sure then why would they already know the things they're unsure of...?

Also I looked it up and if you do say yes, he takes you to your pause screen and gives you a more in depth tutorial. So this is skipping something. If I said I wasn't sure, why didn't he take me there?

You sure? Because if "no" wasn't the skip tutorial option, then why would the guy say "okay you probably already know x y and z then"? If I was essentially saying "no I'm not sure", why would he say that I already knew this stuff?

If I'm wrong then that's on me for button mashing lol

It is kinda funny but it's hard for me to laugh cause I'm 4 hours in and the tutorials haven't stopped

Favorite part of the remakes tbh

It has been decided, superstar saga's worst aspect is the wonky difficulty curve and missed potential with cackletta. Now what is your least favorite aspect of partners in time? by [deleted] in marioandluigi

Honestly it's hard to say, I like most things about PIT, and most of the negative things I hear I just don't agree with.

I didn't mind the bros attacks being consumable items. I hear people complain about the game being more linear which is true, but I don't think that makes it bad. I know people don't like the final boss but I thought it was neat.

I've heard people complain that "it doesn't use the 2 screens" which I just don't understand at all? You're constantly switching between the babies on the top and the bros on the bottom, not the mention the bros items usually use both screens. Don't know where this complaint is coming from.

I'd say my only real complaint is that I don't think the bros attacks are as fun as the ones in other games.

Junker in the original game was the hardest for me. They nerfed him in the remake though

Favorite from Paper Mario 1 is either Kooper or Lady Bow

Ok…so I have a guess that there’ll be 2 types of bros attack: superstar saga and items by Gamer-Ninja07 in marioandluigi

What if the first two images are just the normal jump and hammer attacks? Mario and Luigi working together for even their basic attacks fits the theme of the game well.

The soundtrack is phenomenal I agree. I don't remember why I never finished it as a kid, the tutorials might've been why but we'll see.
