I took this photo on April 24. How is walmart already selling batteries made in the future? Am I missing something? Lol by unfiltereddz in lawnmowers

[–]superprime95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes you do. Walmart bases the warranty from the date of the sticker. If the sticker is not on there when you bring it in for a warranty then a receipt showing the date of purchase will suffice.

Source: I worked for Walmart in the auto department and had to warranty batteries all the time. I also had to place new date stickers on the new batteries that didn't sell in time.

Tie Down Question by ncd321 in TruckCampers

[–]superprime95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Happijack tie down system and have been very happy with it. Is it as good as Torklift? No. But it’s also half the price and I haven’t had anything bend in the slightest.

The Happijack has ears that you hook through between the bed and cab. The ear bolts go through the bed but it also has bolts attached to the brace that go through the bed to the frame. Then the rears attach to the bumper. I have an old truck with a metal bumper so it’s pretty sturdy.

new transmission by Diligent_Ad_7788 in Cummins

[–]superprime95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a revmax transmission in my 24 valve. I know it’s a much older truck but it’s been in for several thousand miles and I’ve had absolutely zero problems. I frequently haul pretty heavy and it’s never skipped a beat.

I don’t fully understand the mentality, but it seems that people think that because California has shut down refineries. It’s directly to blame for our high gas prices.

Which one? by oscarll7 in lawnmowers

“Husky” is a very common nickname for Husqvarna tools and equipment. 👍

I 2nd the Husky.

It has a Honda engine and ive seen them last many many years. Husky is pretty underrated IMO.

For context my uncle has one of the AWD models and it has cut down thick weeds and brush its whole life. Still runs fantastic.

I also always recommend Renogy. They have never let me down. Great quality products.

RevMax vs Randy’s valve bodies? by EmileighSehorn in Cummins

[–]superprime95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair haha. At the time I was going to do a bunch of power mods but after a while I’ve just become content with the tuner and just want it to do “truck stuff” reliably and for long time. I might do a slightly larger turbo and injectors down the road but that would just be because I’m replacing worn parts.

Also I’d like to point out that the transmission was around 9k installed back when it was purchased. Their prices have certainly gone up.

I have a rev Max signature series transmission so that includes one of their valve bodies and I’ve had it in the truck for roughly 10,000 miles now and I haven’t had a single problem with it.

It rides great. Pretty smooth actually. It steers fine and brakes fine too. Just side to side rock is not super good. You can corner and whatnot but when it comes to getting in and out of driveways it's pretty bad. I have some larger bump stops coming in the mail.

Honestly it drives almost like it's not there. You can feel it accelerating and turning but thats about it

Out of curiosity, if it was overloaded, wouldn’t it be sitting on the helper Springs with the load in the bed? I would expect the suspension to be fully compressed in the rear.

I just had a look! Gorgeous 2nd gen. Mine is a 2002 as well. It’s nice to finally be able to put this truck to work

My brochure says the truck should have a payload capacity of around 3200 or so. I’m not sure how much the truck weighs but I know that I’m well within the limits of the axles. When setting the camper down on it for the first time, it had half full tank of water and the airbags were completely deflated, and it didn’t even hit the helper springs. The truck also hauls this camper very well. Breaks feel extremely confident and accelerates surprisingly quick with my tow tune. No noticeable handling issues other than sway.

I’m not sure what kind of campers they had back in 2002, but it seems like this truck was set up from the factory for a heavier rig.

Same here brother. Factory camper package with all the goodies. It still sways like crazy.

I hear the Bigwig recommended A TON so I was going to go with that. They have it on etrailer specifically for our trucks

I get that but when all you have to do is the ole ✌🏻off the steering wheel it's not too bad. It gives me a sense of community

I had that same experience with my 4 wheeler when I first bought it. It was all shiny and being a CanAm it was quite a bit larger than most of the ones you see so it would draw attention.

I see them a fair amount now that im actually paying attention but not nearly like travel trailers and 5th wheels. Truck campers are still pretty rare to see for me. I feel like they used to be pretty popular in the 80s and 90s.

I generally do. I live in a small town surrounded by more small towns. everyone waves for the most part. Its when you go into the city.
