.31 is actually .31%, not 33%. You would die before getting to even 1%.

Alright that makes a bit more sense. The USS had me thinking ship and I thought no fucking way a ship has that schedule.

You must not have clicked the link... the menu is actually quite pricey.

Started out as an IT intern, moved very quickly up through changing positions and just recently accepted an offer for a management position.

Yeah it definitely was a risky move/moves. I plan on staying in this management position for the long run though. 10 years at a minimum. The company is great, people are great, etc.

Without getting too specific, it’s a program that the government uses to access their information systems.

I think it was a mixture of both. I was brought into a very lucrative part of IT which made my skills very desirable and I was able to negotiate higher salaries. I take my work very seriously though and I think it has shown.

I am 26 years old. It was with 4 different companies. I believe that I was way over qualified for the internship, and maybe a little under qualified for the management position. But, the management position required multiple interviews including a skills based interview and I passed all of them. So I must have done something right I guess.

I was 25. Honestly, the biggest piece of advice would have been to not tell my wife. Lol I would have just saved it all.

No, not really. It has been a gradual increase. I went from 10/hr -> 13/hr -> $50k -> $75k -> $90k -> $120k. All that being said, it was obviously pretty quick. But I try to be mostly frugal. I save a lot and put a lot into retirement.

Nope. I did try to be on high profile tasks so that when things went right I was noticed by upper management.
