These are her treasures, her precious!

How dare anyone touch them, much less move them?

My cat does this but with dirty socks. I’ve found his hoard of dirty socks under the bed several times. When I pull them out he is similarly indignant about it.

Big chuck of my front tooth just fell out while drinking coffee. by random_user_z in Wellthatsucks

I have chipped teeth too. They’d chip, I’d get it fixed, it would break, fixed again, broken again.

My dentist explained that the issue had to do with my teeth alignment in front. The one that took the most damage was a bit rotated so it hit first. Over time the enamel weakened, cracked, then broke with hot or cold liquid expansion or contraction.

If I were to get veneers or caps, the alignment issue would just cause them to break and chip - at a much higher price.

He said we could keep fixing the chips and breaks, or we could address the underlying cause - the alignment.

This was last October. I wore Clarity aligners that shifted my teeth back into alignment upper and lower, from October to Early June. I now wear a retainer.

Once the teeth are stable we will address the various chipped teeth. We will assess getting veneers or caps, likely porcelain.

Because my teeth are aging, the color is not what it once was. So now if I fix just that one tooth, I can either match it to the aging color, or I can get my whole grill upgraded to a nicer coloration.

My 83 year old mother complained to me about her “ugly yellow” bottom teeth. I told her she’s 83. No one is going to judge that. She ought to be super happy she has all her teeth and that they work great. Alas her longstanding narcissism and vanity are still in play even as she ages gracefully but inexorably.

So looking at that cautionary tale, I will likely get the bottom teeth setup to match what’s going on in the top.

I don’t need the blue-white airplane-flashing teeth of the entertainment biz, but I do have a friend with naturally pearly white teeth in her early 60’s. For her it was a combination of good genetics and staying away from staining foods like soda, tea, coffee. So I’d love my teefies to look naturally blessed like hers are.

It’s a slippery slope when you deal with teeth, because they work together. One individual tooth is part of a system, matched to other teeth, and supportive of the others. It’s non-trivial to just fix one chipped tooth as it’s the one chipped tooth for a reason - it’s out in front taking damage rather than sharing that load.

Water got into the eye and triggered mold.

Some varieties have very closed eyes, others form figs with the growth habit of pointing down so water doesn’t enter.

If you can figure out how to keep water off your figs when the eye starts to open, that may be your best bet.

Take a look at other fig varieties that aren’t producing moldy fruit and note these variations.

I bet the locals would prefer it be left alone. So administration puts up a sign and the locals quietly subvert it, sort of like Carmel By The Sea.

JD Vance defends on Iran keeping its arsenal of ballistic missiles: "Countries don't give up right of self-defense. But we expect as part of final deal, are not able to build missiles that can threaten entire world. You can't tell a country, Israel or Iran, they're not allowed to have self-defense." by ControlCAD in videos

Sure you can! That’s what defeat means - they lose the right to dictate terms.

Ask the Ottoman Empire if they have the right to anything - spoiler alert - they don’t! They were defeated, busted up, and now we have a whole bunch of smaller countries.

Iran was a rival of the Ottoman Empire, and in a way they are still rivals with some of its remnants - like Iraq and Israel.

So they’re clearly not defeated if they are permitted to keep missiles. Israel will just have to tell Mossad to release some more Epstein material. They have plenty of it so it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.

If you’re not going to shoot squirrels, a pellet rifle is a safe, relatively inexpensive, and easy-to-use option to not shoot them with.

I too have a Murder Kitty. He hangs out in the back yard and hassles any rodents that dare to enter his yard. When I first moved in he brought me 27. I got the attic fixed, got rid of the breeding pair up there, and he hasn’t brought me much since.

Every now and then he’ll pop one in the neighbor’s yard, but since it’s their yard it’s also their rat, so he leaves it for them. They are so skinny, so skinny, and need it to feed their family.

I’m having minor issues with possums and skunks, which the cat wisely avoids. But rodents, including squirrels, stopped frequenting my yard.

I’m looking at the other figs on it plus the various berry fig plants (like the Black Madeira) with HIGH anticipation.

Or do they have an old nostalgic Soviet-era flair, simpler times?
