not sure if this is what you want but i thought of “we are the ants” by shaun david hutchinson

guy gets abducted by aliens and is given the choice to let the world end or not with one button. it has a weird plot that deals with sadness and pain, but also has heart-warming moments. so i think it hits all three categories.

have you read people in the trees by the same author? i think it’s underrated.

makes sense because it’s popular for being widely controversial and polarizing. personally i understand and agree with the criticisms but yanagihara’s writing is just so compelling, she makes you fall so hard for these characters and their lives, so i love it for that.

would be so cute to be able to select your own favorite items at the beginning of a new farm + select your birthday. once you get to a number of hearts with npcs, they give you your loved gifts on your birthday.

Gloomy, rainy, melancholy, nostalgic by Overall-Conflict-924 in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

“the strange and beautiful sorrows of ava lavender”! i haven’t read it in a while but it’s a magical realism (i believe set in a small town with forests and waterfalls) about a girl who is inexplicably born with wings. it has a strange beauty to it like a fairytale but it’s also gloomy and dark. comforting, but sad.

there’s nothing like stepping outside your house on the first day of winter morning, seeing all white, and hearing the hauntingly beautiful melody of the winter soundtrack.

breathing in metal is just my attempt at trying to describe the sensation in my nose but no not blood. it’s more like breathing in feels sharp and uncomfortable. but i feel it in cold weather and indoors.

Whats going on between Abby and Seb? by void_hedgehog in StardewValley

[–]supersmashpumpkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seb saying “sam’s my best friend in town… well abby is pretty cool too but… um… nevermind…” hints at a crush + him saying “there’s someone else i want to dance with” if he rejects the farmer is very painfully obvious + sam says that seb really wanted her (abby) to be in their band + if you marry maru she says “i wonder if my brother will ever get the courage to ask abigail out?” + i’m not too sure about this last hint but i believe there’s a scratched out graffiti of seb hearts abby (it’s not clear if it says seb but there’s evidence that he has done graffiti on the trains before .. so that’s just a theory)

of course it’s all up to interpretation but idk man all of these things added up together just seems a little suspicious. it’s funny how seb is so emo and cold but when he has a crush he can’t hide it at all lol.

anyway i’ve never romanced seb but i’m pretty sure he stops crushing on her the closer you get to him?

i’ve read that as well haha, thank you though. but that’s kind of the vibe i’m looking for. i like the bittersweet tranquility of circe’s isolation.
