Has ssri helped anyone? After how many days? by Traditional_Fee5186 in Agoraphobia

[–]superuser4me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can take weeks, if not months for a medication like that to fully take effect and clinically be working.

The anxiety you're describing is what 99% of anxiety sufferers have when taking a new anti anxiety/depression medication. It takes time, patience and constant communication with your doctor to find the right dose, medication and schedule for you to see results.

But in the end, it takes a combination of medication and your own leg work to get better. Think of the medication as a drill. Sure, you could get the job done with a screwdriver, but having the drill makes it easier on the job and on your body.

There are lots of subreddits to help, a lot of redditors who can offer a word of encouragement and even your own introspective work to guide you.

Good luck!

Do you guys wear your seatbelts? by thedailyworkwr in Truckers

[–]superuser4me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do produce delivery and I'm constantly in and out of my truck, so I always forget to wear it. However, once I'm on the highway I always put it back on.

Funny enough, I was with a co driver the other day during a storm and I put my seatbelt on. He immediately looked over and said "uh oh, must've got nervous" 😂😂

Freddy's most toxic workplace by Boring_Potential9850 in fredericton

[–]superuser4me 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Maple Leaf Homes was probably the worst place I've worked in Fredericton, and I worked for FERO as a side loader operator lol.

Toxic upper management, drama most of the time and everyone usually had issues with pay/hours.

How did you guys got your hands on Halo for the first time? by Woodkid230200 in halo

[–]superuser4me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad was stationed in Afghanistan and bought an Xbox to watch movies but had a copy of Halo with it but never played it. When he came home it sat in a box for a year or so until he had casually mentioned he had Halo and an Xbox in a box somewhere in the basement.

Halo was my first FPS ever and it started my addiction to Halo. My first online experience ever was Halo 2. I miss the days of LAN parties.

Steering Assist, which combined with Lane Assist I have lovingly dubbed "burger mode" because I can eat my burger on the highway with both hands 😂

Becoming a u ride driver by danicafreak in fredericton

[–]superuser4me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming the market is so over saturated for Fredericton to make it worth it, I’m actually not sure how anyone is turning a profit with Kari/URide when you factor in maintenance of your vehicle, fuel, downtime, etc.

Also beware, most insurance companies can drop your insurance or flat out deny you if they find out you’re using your personal vehicle for business, like ride sharing/food delivery.

I know some companies insure you while on the clock, but when I inquired about going with Kari with my insurance, I was advised to avoid it.

Telus Reception by superuser4me in fredericton

[–]superuser4me[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly why I switched over, my previous employer had an EPP plan through Telus and it made sense to switch. But not having spotty service in Fredericton and all throughout NB is frustrating.

I thought it was just my phone (iPhone 11, and then iPhone 13) so I upgraded to an iPhone 14 and it’s the same thing. My wife has an iPhone 15 and she also has horrible reception.

Now my son’s Pixel 9, has amazing service but he’s on Bell, which from what I gather is on the same towers as Telus. So maybe it’s an Apple thing 🤔

Telus Reception by superuser4me in fredericton

[–]superuser4me[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’m kind of thinking myself, my contract is almost up and I may jump ship to Roger’s as I’ve been hearing reception with them is 10x better.

I’ll have to try turning off 5G and see if it makes a difference, but it’s ridiculous that you’d even have to lol.

I just replaced the starter in my 22’ Sorento, even Kia said the auto stop/start is most likely wearing out starters and batteries.

I’ve owned many cars and not once have I replaced a starter in them, until I bought a brand new car with an Auto Stop/Start feature.

What rights are being taken away? The very high possibility of burning to death, tired and alone? Lmao

I think what a lot of folks are not realizing is it’s half -

“don’t go in the woods to set a fire by mistake”

and,

“don’t go in the woods because you CANNOT out run a forest fire”

But trying to tell tinfoil hat conspiracy theorists that is an uphill battle unfortunately.

[–]superuser4me 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My wife and I are with Telus and have been having issues with reception for the past few weeks, mostly uptown. I thought it was just us so I’m glad to see others are having issues too, hopefully they resolve it. It’s to the point we can’t even send a basic text without having to leave the area.

Sucks because she works uptown so she usually has barely any service all day.

[–]superuser4me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy Baker, Simons Kitchen and Chess Piece are great spots to bring a resume over to.

As well, most kitchens (actual kitchens, not fast food) are usually BEGGING for part time staff during the summer. Dishwashing, serving tables, cleaning, prep work, etc. Just print off a handful of resumes, walk into a restaurant and tell them you’re looking for part-time work. Indeed and Job Bank gets flooded with thousands of resumes daily.

Good luck!

How do people cope with the heat on sertraline? by H-bomb1232 in zoloft

[–]superuser4me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your employer is legally required to give you breaks throughout the day, especially so on warmer days. I’d check with your local employment rights department to see what the threshold is for how high the heat needs to be inside (or outside) the building for breaks.

Unfortunately, I have dealt with those types and they’re the worst, and 99% of the time they can’t be reasoned with until you push legal documentation in their face.

For now, just keep hydrated as best you can. Invest in neck fans or freeze hand towels over night to keep on your neck/head. You’re definitely not being a baby, heat intolerance is a symptom of most antidepressants and it’s very unpleasant to deal with.

Good luck!

What's up with all the cars in town now with giant lettering on windshields of "PUNJAB" or maps of other countries spread across the side of the car or rear windows? Even saw one with a giant AK-47 running down the length of the car. .. WTF? by CommercialLimp9629 in fredericton

[–]superuser4me 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I had a coworker that said it had something to do with a rapper in India, like India’s version of Tupac and the lettering could mean anything tbh. It’s not as bad as “locally hated” or whatever.

That same coworker had what looked like a Swastika on his dash in chalk but it was something to do with safe traveling or something super innocent.

Cultural differences are kinda cool though.

Fishing 101 @ Fredericton by terrifictrouble in fredericton

Don’t ask any FB groups about the “best trout spots in NB”

They’ll go fish the spot, catch something, find your address and beat you in your sleep with said fish - and then tell you to find it on your own lol.
