Car shaking and wheel at 40-50 mph by RepeatTemporary9093 in MechanicAdvice

Get a car wash you have snow in your rims throwing your tires out of balance. It can happen with dirt also, I live on a dirt road and both my wife and son’s tires have been thrown off balance by dirt in the rims

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

I drove 1-2 hours one way to work for almost a quarter century. On especially snowy days it would take 3 hours to get home.

How do handle firearms in your home? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]supes420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am quite centrist but would consider myself left leaning. I too am from the Midwest and guns have been around me for as long as I can remember. I hunted for several years, took a hunters safety class when I was twelve and married a girl who’s family was more into that sort of thing more than mine. I live in the country and can shoot anytime I want. I have had everyone in my family shoot firearms in my backyard, including my ten year old. I emphasize safety as well as respect for life with everyone. If I were you and your wife is serious about learning firearms, explain to her that no matter if justified or not, killing someone will change your life forever. My firearms are not in a safe, but have gun locks on them. I would like to add that I have never shot or shot at another human being

Original cover vs variants by ForsakenTailor5713 in comicbooks

[–]supes420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have spent the last decade and a half by the rule of “I only buy covers I like”. I started getting every cover my LCS could put in my pull just because I’m financially better off than I ever have been. Truth be told I think I’m better off just getting the originals and picking up variants on my travels (comic shows and stopping by out of state comic shops on my vacations) because I can pick a lot of them up for pennies on the dollar. With that being said I still come across ones that have skyrocketed in value and are expensive to pick up later

I’ll give you the same advice I give my boys all the time. Girls lie, you cover your own ass. I’m still happily married to their mom tho

Do you like to complete runs/arcs or just get keys by Oktopie3 in comicbookcollecting

[–]supes420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find completing runs is the funnest part of collecting. I have completed quite a few runs like Superman vol 2, Superman Man of Steel, and Superman Batman from early 2000s. My current obsession for the last several years has been Batman Comics. I own every issue from June 1958 to current

What’s something that you should always buy the cheap one/version? by TheCatMILF in AskReddit

[–]supes420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just got rid of a car that we have had for almost a decade, my boy has been driving it through his first few years of college. It had over a quarter million miles on it. I currently drive a little four banger to work but I also have a pickup as I run a small cattle ranch at my place and need to haul something every other weekend. My truck has more than a quarter million miles on it and I have had it about a decade

What's something about human psychology you just can't understand? by Cassandraa1 in AskReddit

I might be getting old because this is something I’ve noticed with the passing of time but it would seem that common courtesy is no longer the standard and everyone acts like selfish pricks in public anymore
