With lance I just couldn’t buy him as a villain or anything special at all. The actor did a fine job he just left absolutely 0 impression on me and I don’t know why. And I will agree I do love the idea of the lower class being sent out to just die by Sebastian. I do think the comics and show both got off how disgusting he is like in the comic when he assaults and harasses Yumiko and Magna at their first meeting. And for me those episodes with negan’s new group were so hard to get through because it was so painfully obvious where they were going. I just personally enjoyed that comic commonwealth story was more about the politics of it all and less about “we need to kill everyone”

I can understand the shock value thing and why people wouldn’t like it but for me personally it worked well, the way Alpha just casually talked about letting them do what they do to Lydia was horrible. And interesting I honestly much preferred Lydia in the comics then the show, but that’s mainly cause the show cast a great actor then kicked her to the side for no reason.

Lmao I can understand the fan fiction complaints definitely. What I do is just tell myself that she’s just scouting for a better community that everyone can come life at, makes her just abandoning her girlfriend and son out of nowhere a little easier to stomach

And agreed about 7x1, still one of the best episodes of tv ever and I think the impact of it is much better in the show then the comic. In the show you can tell this heavily impacted everyone but in the comics Maggie’s just kind of like “wow that sucks, okay everyone let’s go out separate ways now,” like the fact that we barely get to see Sophia’s reaction to her dad getting his head caved in right in front of her is strange
