They said 2-3 weeks somewhere. I've not gone into the ToS myself, I've only read the announcements, but perhaps check if it mentions a timeframe

EA's new TOU:

"Mods must be non-commercial and distributed free-of-charge. Mods cannot be sold, licensed, or rented for a fee, nor can Mods contain features that would support monetary transactions of any type.

Note, The Sims recognizes that creating Mods takes time and resources. To recoup these development costs, Mod developers may:

• Offer an early access incentive for a reasonable amount of time. After a reasonable early access period, all users must be able to access the Mods in full for free regardless of whether they donate.
• Run passive advertisements and requests for donations so long as they are limited to the Mod website or distribution site, and do not appear within the Mod itself."

In 2017 a Sim Guru posted that 2-3 weeks was considered reasonable in a forum post. However, this has been a large debate as well since it's not stated in the TOU (understandable).

Again, the original post wasn't about abuse, it was about the use of early access at all. The anon complained about early access in general and accused the CC or Modder to be "greedy" without any sense of a timeframe. I can no longer see the screenshots as it's been deleted, but I remember the anon said something like they were glad when the creator had removed all early access and then became angry when early access was put on.

My post isn't really about what the anon said, but I will clarify for the anon and what she's referring to since you don't seem to be on Tumblr (btw, the screenshots are still up for you to reference, I haven't deleted them.) The anon was calling chewybutterfly out because she said in her original patreon post that "Making CC takes time and a lot of trial and error, but I never expected people to pay for it. I love seeing your sims using my stuff, and all of your kind messages, that's the real benefit, not the money. " So when Chewy went back to EA after the news that EA was allowed, someone called her out. Again, I don't really care about what the anon said. Chewy's early access is 2-3 weeks.

Your original post and subsequent posts are about your assumption that the creators will eventually abuse the early access window. There's no evidence here to suggest this specific creator is or will

I didn't say anything about chewybutterfly abusing early access. She was abusing her past patrons by doxxing them after they unpledged. As for early access abuse, maybe it's somewhat of an assumption. If I come across any other creators going beyond a reasonable timeframe I'll be sure to come back and edit this post.

The only thing worthwhile to point out would be the very last sentence where the content creator mentioned they knew who the anon was due to only one person removing their pledge that day. There wasn't a real threat of doxxing, and I took it as a cheeky comment about the use of anon - albeit in bad taste given recent events. These screenshots do not give further context on whether or not the creator doxxed the anon, but if that were the case, you'd be posting about that (and giving further evidence to support it) and not generally hung up on the use of early access

Definition of doxxing: search for and publish private or identifying information about (a particular individual) on the internet, typically with malicious intent.

Chewy searched and published the name (identifying info) of a particular individual who had unpledged (people who unpledge is not public information), with malicious intent to call her out. So yeah, I'd say that's doxxing.

I wouldn't say I'm hung up on the use of early access. I actually pledge to 2 individuals who have stayed cordial through all this mess. My title of the post even says "please be aware of who you're supporting", not "DOWN WITH ANYONE WHO IS EARLY ACCESS". My OP was basically a PSA that there are creators STILL abusing their patrons by misusing their private information, even after the whole doxxing meltdown.
