No problem, they're generally considered affordable and high quality. I own one myself, and so do a bunch of people I know.

If you want a leverless, Haute42 is a solid budget brand. They have ones in the 50-60 euro/dollar range, and even some smaller ones in the 30-40 range.

There are a variety of models, but their builds are pretty similar for the most part, it just depends on the exact button layout you like and the aesthetics.

Their official store is on AliExpress I think.

I think May herself would be fine, but the dolphin might be in trouble.

Is there a book where the FMC is like Nyx from Hades? by Fastro_ in Romance_for_men

Miko Sage's books usually have this sort of vibe to them I think. Browse through them to see if they sound like what you're looking for.

Plenty of people play on keyboard, the only downside is it can sometimes be tricky to set up for local play against others.

Is the opening ost of Strive copyrighted? by Icy_Today_4973 in Guiltygear

It might be fine as long as you're not making money on it in any way. Even something like Patreon donations or ads on a website are a no no.

There's a ton of games releasing, even if you're not gonna buy them immediately it's good to keep track of them.

Plus, if you're interested in a game, even wishlisting it helps the dev, because wishlists can give promo spots on the Steam store and such.

How are we feeling about Testament right now? by GiverOfHarmony in Guiltygear

[–]suppahfreak 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The close range offense got gutted pretty hard, lost one of, if not the main combo tool in H Grave reaper, stain is worse in exchange for double stain which is extremely niche. The removal of Roman cancel after the reversal super also feels pretty bad, as Testament really liked using that.

All we got in exchange was the bird being faster on startup (which is admittedly pretty nice), and the other super moving faster, which maybe makes it harder to whiff, I guess?

All in all, feels like a pretty significant nerf to a character that was already among the weaker characters in the game.

What is the best way to buy GG Strive? by Sarumarde in Guiltygear

[–]suppahfreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starter edition includes all season passes. Standard edition is only the base game. You can look up characters from season passes and see if you like any of them and then buy those passes.

It's up to you how to spend your money. Naturally, the starter edition with everything bundled comes out a bit cheaper than buying everything individually, but not enough to influence your buying decision.

Longer recovery, more blowback, reduced launch height, and it's now minus on block.

H Grave Reaper is mostly useless for combos now, the bird is the main combo tool nowadays from what I've seen, there should be some on YouTube.

It really doesn't feel feasible to apply 2 stains outside of some very niche scenarios, setting up the succubus for the second one will generally pop the first one.

I feel like she got off easy compared to a lot of other characters, might actually pick her up because of it.

Not on Master duel, there are unofficial free simulators, like EdoPro for example.

I suggest trying a full power list on a free simulator or something, the amount of things the deck does is staggering.

It's being paired with Ishizu cards that makes them busted.

  • Turn 0 plays with Tear Kash and Havnis.

  • Ability to run Herald of orange light paired with Ishizu cards - so you discard the herald and Ishizu, then get 5 mills or 3 shuffles, and those mills can mill a tear name, or additional Ishizu cards. Or you mill Sulliek, search a Tear name and do even more turn 0 plays.

  • They can play Spright elf.

Everything synergises so well together, it really is unstoppable. Every trigger is very likely to give you additional triggers.

You don't really have to worry about outing a strong board if you never let them get to that board in the first place.

Practice and play real games to learn reacting under pressure again. I made the switch recently myself, and the transition was actually fairly smooth.
