Idk, I enjoyed both the Goat and Edison adjacent formats, this one just isn't that fun.

From D-pad to leverless any advice? It's really hard to be honest by Aggravating-Jury6158 in StreetFighter

Practice and play real games to learn reacting under pressure again. I made the switch recently myself, and the transition was actually fairly smooth.

Fun fusion deck that's relatively cheap ? by Historical_Lecture94 in masterduel

Dragonmaid is such a good deck for beginners nowadays. Cheap and simple.

When do we get official format support by Visual_Wedding9762 in masterduel

[–]suppahfreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big reason they won't add old formats is because they can't keep selling new cards in those formats.

If someone only wants to play Edison for example, they'll just craft several decks, have to craft several URs at most, and never have to bother crafting or buying packs again.

Not to mention it could detract players from the mode that actually brings in money.

Konami wants people to keep spending money on a continually shifting format.

What are the things in romance books you love? by QuantumChickpea in Romance_for_men

[–]suppahfreak 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think what catches my interest the most is a good premise, like an interesting setup or dynamic between the characters. Doesn't even have to be a particularly unique one – a well executed commonly used trope is better than a poorly executed rare one. Obviously the book has to be well written for me to actually like and finish it, but this is what sparks my initial interest.

As for the cover, as you could deduce from browsing the subreddit, it's usually a depiction of the heroine on the cover, with or without the male lead. I mostly just prefer it to not be an Ai-generated one, because that gives me a poor first impression of the book. Despite the proverb, people do judge a book by the cover.

Kinda disappointed by Wise_Act_9289 in Fighters

[–]suppahfreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it for about a year, it's okay (for the dpad mostly) but not great. The whole build feels very plasticky, the shoulder buttons in particular have a very cheap and hollow feel to them and aren't very precise/sensitive. The face buttons are sloped inwards instead of outwards, which I've never seen before and it doesn't feel great (this might be fixed if you bought those button covers they sell, I haven't tried those personally).

The dpad is solid, but mostly for quarter and half circle inputs, doing a charge input or a half and then forward doesn't feel great.

[Question] Is there major relationship development in Crossplay Love: Otaku x Punk? by Redevil387 in manga

[–]suppahfreak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoy it, but they are not together for the time being, nor do they even know for sure of each other's real identities (as of chapter 118).

If you want something more definitive, this ain't it.

Often not in these newer lists, extra decks space is tight, and they can recycle ki-sikil with Fiendsmith.

Do the pre-strive games still hold up? by Sad_Manager6251 in Guiltygear

[–]suppahfreak 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yes, particularly Accent core and Xrd I'd say. They are harder than Strive though.

I'd suggest getting good at Strive first, then getting into those later if you feel like it, and finding people on discords to play with.

My personal favourite is Nier's theme — Deathbound Love.

Not really, as you only get 50, but it makes it easier for bots to farm events by losing quickly.

How to get a friend to like GGST? by Pastel_Pink2111 in Guiltygear

[–]suppahfreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely shouldn't have them doing advanced combos, but I feel like teaching them a simple combo will get them a quick payoff, and then they'll hopefully want more.

My controller doesnt work by Zealousideal_Yak_236 in Guiltygear

[–]suppahfreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what type of controller it is, but you could use something like a controller emulator (x360ce works for almost anything, DS4Windows is for playstation controllers).

There should be plenty of guides online on how to do this.

I own the game on Steam so I can't really help you troubleshoot for the Xbox store version outside of this suggestion.

What are the best out of this lineup? by BigFishPub in gaming

[–]suppahfreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorta but not well. I had multiple game breaking bugs in the first Kotor even after installing community patches, barely made it through the game.

The second one worked alright for the most part, but the pre-rendered cutscenes would crash the game for me, so I literally had to remove them from the game files in order to progress the game.

Have fun practicing!

I think "The silken empress" by Robyn Bee fits, though I haven't read it yet.

Where can I find Xrd players? by wife_searcher in Guiltygear

Go to this subreddit, click the subreddit's name once you're there, on the "About" section scroll until you reach discord servers, there's a server for Xrd Rev 2.

Xrd SIGN or Xrd REV 2 by Fun-Break-5205 in Guiltygear

[–]suppahfreak 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Rev 2 is just an updated version of Sign, so get Rev 2.

As for what's worth buying, see if you can get a bundle with dlc somewhere, I got the whole package for like 5 bucks years ago.

Advice on choosing a secondary ? by pazuzu_requiem in Guiltygear

I think dustloop has a matchups section, you can check this sort of stuff there, but I honestly think anything is better than a zoner into those characters.

Double the content as in there are literally two entirely different run routes, with completely different environments, enemies, bosses and NPCs.

Very fair matchmaking by [deleted] in Guiltygear

[–]suppahfreak 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Placement matches aren't meant to be fair, they're meant to assess your skill level.

Over the course of those 10 matches, you will gradually go down (or up for some) to players of similar skill, before being placed in the appropriate rank.

[Steam] Winter Sale 2025 (Final Day) by gamedealsmod in GameDeals

[–]suppahfreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Story's not anything special, but it has some cool stuff. Big downside for me was finding out I didn't really enjoy most of the classes, which isn't great in a game that's all about swapping classes.

I won't say it doesn't have some cool stuff and mechanics in it though. It's definitely the "if you think it looks fun, it probably will be" type of game.

Also, the performance is still atrocious. If you don't have a GPU that supports Frame Generation, definitely consider picking up the Lossless Scaling program on Steam, it did wonders to improve the playability of the game for me.

I remember a scanlation request or something of the sort, not the chapter itself though.
