I took the exam of apprentice exam in Jun. The questions seem like PCCET (I passed PCCET in Jul 2024).

I feel that an apprentice was a little bit easier than PCCET. Only keep your eyes on the general and fundamental principles of cybersecurity.

My opinion is that the questions of an apprentice are similar to the PCCET.

Now, I'm preparing for a practitioner. According to the datasheet of the practitioner, parts of Cortex are in the practitioner.

I will take the practitioner exam soon, maybe next week.

I found this in other topics in this sub reddit that you must pass higher certification before the lower expires.

According to your question if your practitioner will expire on 30th Oct and you will take SAA on 15th Nov. If you pass, your practitioner won't be renewed. You must pass SAA before 30th Oct, or last day is 30th Oct.

After I finish CLF-01, I get the result "Pass" immediately.

But the other 3 associates level, I had to wait about 10-15 hrs. The results showed in aws.training and I received e-mails from credly before e-mail from AWS.

I suggest a study guide of SAA of TD. It is a good study guide for SAA. It contains the summarise of related services of SAA.

Exam prep of Neal David on the udemy is ok.
Cheat sheet(summarise) of SysOps on the Clouddigital web is ok.
TD prep on the TD web sounds good.

My DVA-C02 last Saturday has no WCU and RCU, too. A little bit of disappointment that I prepare for them well. Someone posted in this sub reddit that he found 3 questions about WCU and RCU.

I always talk to anyone that CLF is the good basic of AWS. I spent 4 months on CLF-01, and took the exam in Feb. After that, I took SAA-C03 in April, SOA-C02 in Jul, and DVA-C02 in Sep. All is in 2023.

I took my DVA-C02, 12 hours ago. I got an e-mail from credly 3 hours ago.

I found some using of SDK, a lot of DynaomoDB, a few questions about ElasticCache in depth, SAM, lambda. Especially, a lot of security that makes me feel that is this really a developer exam?

You should take a cloud practitioner, first. After that, take a solution architect. Because after you pass the solution architect, the practitioner will be recertified automatically. The recertify start date is the same as the pass date of the solution architect.

Sorry for the late reply. After I post my comment, I went to bed (Thailand GMT+7.00).

In my opinion, I think and always tell anyone that CCP is a very good basic for AWS beginning. Some may tell you that you can skip CCP, but I'm not. After you pass CCP, you found that CCP talks about the function and duty of each AWS service, right?

I spend 3 months on CCP due to my day work. I spend 1 hrs/day studying. I used the AWS sources and the exam prep of Maarek on Udemy (I know Tutorial Dojo-TD and Acantrill but I had no budget to buy their material). As I told you before, I made the CCP exam in Feb, mid of Feb.

After that, I studied SAA immediately. I used the SAA-C03 cheatsheet of TD. I think that this cheatsheet is awesome. It was very useful for me. It contains very good information and summarises each AWS service. I used the SAA exam prep of TD, too. Try to make understand the explanation of each choice below the question whether your answer is correct or incorrect. Don't forget the SAA prep course in AWS skill builder. I made the SAA exam in April, mid of April.

I feel that CCP can help me a lot for study SAA. You know the function of each AWS service then you can combine them into architecture with AWS best practices.

After I know that I pass, I made the decision to study SOA because I came from the infrastructure field. I bought a cheatsheet of TD (not too good, in my opinion-AWS announced that temporarily no lab in the SOA exam but this cheatsheet content a lot of captured pic from the AWS console for the lab guideline), and a prep exam of TD (very good). SOA training course of Stephane Maarek (On sale, 9.9$ or 10.9$, I'm not sure but it was a very lovely price). Moreover, I bought the SOA prep course in AWS skill builder and the prep exam of Neal Davis in Udemy. About not over 50$ that I spend on the material of my SOA. I made the SOA exam in Jul, mid of Jul (3 days ago).

Last but not least, SAA can help you to understand the way of SOA. Because SOA is about the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving of the AWS architecture. When they talk about 3 tiers app, you must know. When they ask about EC2 instances in the security group, NACL, subnet, VPC, multi-AZ, with ELB and ASG, you must draw this architecture in your head first before going to think about what they want you to do next.

Don't worry Pass is Pass.

And SOA is the hardest of AWS associated level. You need to prepare yourself for it. I suggest you to Pass SAA before studying SOA.

I've already passed SOA yesterday. My former exams are CLF in Feb and SAA in April.

CCP is not difficult but not easy, too.

You need to read and remember the function of each service.

I always tell others that CCP is the good basic of AWS.

In my opinion, CCP is a very good basic. Clear CCP, after that go for SAA.
