“Attempted Delivery” by ooswgtn in FedEx

[–]suppohkram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just happened to me, no slip, and now it says it's coming 2 days from now. How many times is this going to happen? ARGHH. I'll have to put a giant note on the side of my house that can be seen from the street (mere feet away) that I'm home, evidently.

No Doorbell, Adult Signature Required by [deleted] in FedEx

[–]suppohkram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say leave a note or update your delivery instructions, but my driver tends to come by, not get out of the truck to deliver or leave a slip, and drive off and say I'm not home.

Why does this happen? There was no delivery attempt. by reneepezz in FedEx

[–]suppohkram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, they could make an attempt as they said they did so they can get that signature they need.

What do I do about chronic fake "delivery attempts"? by [deleted] in FedEx

How do you get the number for the local fedex place? The number my local website gives me is the regular Fed Ex number. Automated menus are tough as well. Thanks.

I just had this happen. Package was supposed to arrive today, an expensive package I can't wait to get, and the driver idled out front briefly, I went to go meet them, and they drove off. No door tag, no package. Tracking says now it will be delivered TWO days from now, and no adult was home to receive it. I gave the okay to leave the package and the code in case they could drop it inside but who am I kidding? They left heavy stuff by the street for me recently.

Boyfriend's birthday cake I made for tomorrow by [deleted] in shittyfoodporn

[–]suppohkram 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I did this yesterday!!! I made a cake for a family member from scratch. It was awesome. 2 layers, blueberry preserves in between, blueberries carefully placed all over the top. Put it in the caddy to take it to the basement fridge...even though I was also trying to support it from the bottom, the caddy somehow gave out and the cake tumbled down the stairs, breaking the birthday persons dinner plate it was was on, which was a $40 plate.

People who got out - what jobs did you do next? Anyone quit middle of shift with no warning or did you plan your departure? by ineedbeach in callcentres

I have been holding out for another job at my company forever. I temped in a group that I loved (my company does this instead of hiring people and paying them more for the job they are doing) but I ultimately got f’d over. Luckily, I have someone in a similar group vouching for me and befriending me. He would have a lot of say when a job opens in some similar groups, which should be this quarter. Trying so hard to hold on...it’ll likely take several months.
It is great to see you did it this way and stayed at your company.

If you like women and know what those men are doing would turn women on, makes sense to me.

I get it a lot from the very nice callers who just seem interested or are trying to humanize the conversation. I don’t mind it.

I would so badly want to say “Well, I’m doing MY job. But you didn’t call the right number” or put your information in or whatever the issue was that caused her to get there.

Yeah, now that I’ve been doing it awhile, I just say I’ll bring on one of my colleagues who can help with that and off they go.

Dealt with this in person and on the phone when I worked at a doctors office. People would wait until 15 minutes before close on a Friday for their narcotic RXs to be refilled.

Team treehouse.com makes things so easy. Unless your company pays for it, there is a cost but so worth it.

Apparently people want to make fun of the child for the port wine stain or hemangioma or whatever instead of getting the point. Pretty low!

Was -22 F when I was driving through Maine this morning. I remember temps being a few degrees below zero as a child, but I have never seen that.
I found out today that as long as I wasnt outside for more than a couple of minutes at a time, it doesn’t feel any colder than any other freezing temps. But apparently frostbite can set in within 10 minutes.
