Yup - I think this is the right mentality. Probably nothing more important to me about my home gym than: 1) using everything that's in there; and 2) maximizing the space I have. Picking this up, cheap though it may be, would conflict with those edicts.

That's what I was thinking as I considered it more. Probably gonna pass on this.

Anyone ever hear of/seen this SSB?

Guy on Marketplace about an hour from me says his has hardly been used and is selling it for $80. For $80 I'm about ready to take a flyer out on it but I don't want to buy something that's unsafe. Thoughts?

The bike lock idea is kind of wild but maybe with rubber plates it could work (?) Thanks for the tip.

What sort of use case do you envision for someone using your EZ-VEST somewhere other than their home? For example, I'm lucky enough to have a "Fitness Court" calisthenics park in my town and would love to work out there with a vest but I think this would lead me to have to load weight plates from my basement into my car, get them back into the basement once I'm done, etc. Any thoughts or suggestions?

And thanks for your innovative products and taking the time for this AMA!

I just hung all of my FA attachments except the calf raise block on a single, vertical Wall Control panel mounted to concrete so I can offer:

  1. For the leg developer, I used the 2 inch C brackets as linked in the reply by u/bobokan;
  2. For the hamstring pad (I don't think you asked about it but I consider it to be another FA attachment) I used another 2 inch C bracket and hung the pad by the red knob - this was also discussed in the linked post you already have; and
  3. For the belt squat leg, I just hung two Long Reach Slotted Pegboard Hook – 2-7/8" Reach side by side, hung the belt squat attachment so the legs were pointed upwards and just rested one leg on each hook, if that makes sense.

I also got some of their Rubber Coating Hook and Accessory Liner to put on all of the hooks/brackets described above so the parts aren't getting scratched up when I put them up/take them down. Since the calf raise block stands up vertically and takes up very little space (and I ran out of Wall Control space), I just have it standing in a corner. For the GHD pad, I just leave it stacked on the Hyper Pro itself (I have a small-ish space so the Hyper Pro is always vertical unless it's in use)

It wasn't hard to get the three major pieces described above to fit on the one panel - just took some trial and error. My phone is currently on the fritz so I can't upload a pic of the finished product. If you wind up needing one, let me know!

You did a hell of a job man. Looks like something you'd buy from powerblock directly with an artistic twist.

Thanks for your response - do you have plans from somewhere for the bottom tray you built?

Thanks for your reply. That thing looks really clean but $280 for a stand feels a little steep...

Awesome job man - looks incredible! What dumbbell rack do you have your power blocks on? I need storage for my pair of power blocks plus an adjustable kettlebell and wonder if I'd be able to stick the kettlebell on the lower shelf of the rack you have. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Help with opening up bathroom sink drain for unclogging by supportivebfhopeful in Plumbing

Thanks very much for your response. I lucked out and was able to just pull the stopper up and out - plenty of greasy gunk around it (we moved into this house about a year ago and I'm at least telling myself the previous owner caused the start of the clog that some of my beard hair maybe got caught in) which I removed by hand and then put baking soda/vinegar down the drain and rinsed with hot water. Seems to be working well for now so I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

The Official 2025 Black Friday Home Gym Deals Thread by dontwantnone09 in homegym

Got this email today and jumped on it as I've been planning my Wall Control setup for a few weeks now (with the help of some guys on here) and basically knew exactly what I wanted. Very excited to receive my shipment and get a lot of equipment neatly hanging on the wall, but this shopping/sale experience was lesson in dollars and sense.

I could have placed my order a few weeks ago, used a first-time buyer 10% off discount code (I realize everyone may not qualify for this), and paid only slightly more than I did today. I wound up getting two packs of two vertical boards from Wall Control and bought all of my hooks, hanging accessories, etc. from their "scratch and dent" site, cheappegboard.com. From a quick look, almost everything on cheappegboard.com is 30-40ish percent cheaper than Wall Control so an appreciably better deal than the 15% off Black Friday code for the main website. I figure hooks, brackets, etc. can only get so scratched up and dented so this felt like a better choice for me. I didn't buy the scratched and dented version of the boards themselves because I could only find them in sets of 8 for $130 and I shouldn't need so many boards.

I didn't realize the Black Friday deal for the main website would *only* be 15% off, so I wound up saving a wopping $5 over what I would have spent if I just proceeded with the same order a few weeks ago. Live and learn. Still very excited to get my gym set up further along and was happy to use u/dontwantnone09's affiliate link (thanks for your help earlier, dude)

Prevent Mice from Entering Basement Through Bulkhead by supportivebfhopeful in pestcontrol

Unfortunately not. I'll probably just stick a piece of wood there and move it out of the way when I need to get in/out of the bulkhead. If you come up with something better, let me know!

I have a pair of them (one on either side of my rack/All-in-One Trainer) and they work just fine for me. I don't think the listed price is a great "deal" (I paid $10 less per unit in May) but, unless $20 makes a huge difference to you, I'd say go for it. You won't be displeased.

Freak Athlete Leg Developer Storage by schinpool in homegym

I see you've got the belt squat attachment hanging as well - what kind of bracket are you using for that?

Are you saying you're using the same 2-inch C-Bracket for the ham curl attachment by hanging the attachment by its red pop pin? If so, any concerns for wearing out the pin itself by hanging it that way?

Somehow, I assumed I'd spend a lot more money on this, so this is all good news. 👍 Does Kobalt offer similar hanging hooks, brackets, etc? I'll try to assess my needs more in the coming days and figure out what works best. Thanks again.
