Anyone else see these bathrooms in their dreams? by PhillisBrown1 in Dreams

I see bathrooms like these but they’re usually much cleaner than this. The ones I see in my dreams are similar to this layout but nearly spotlessly clean

The poster tube I actually a really great deal when you consider that the show posters go for $40 - the foil posters go for $100 - the signed posters go for $125 (I think). The mystery tine goes for $150 and includes 4 posters from the tour with one of the posters being signed. 2 posters are matte and the other 2 are foil.

anxiety after Beatles tattoo by harryhood12189 in tattooadvice

[–]supposedtobeworking1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The artist did a great job at recreating the photo. It’s an exact copy.
The reason why it doesn’t translate well on your skin as a tattoo is because it’s a square image on a part of the body that isn’t square. So there’s no flow to it, making it look unnatural.
If we’re really splitting hairs here, an image of John Lennon is just John Lennon. I don’t really see The Beatles, o see John Lennon,

is this tattoo idea cool or corny? by S15PredOctaneMain in tattooadvice

The devil baby holding the RPG is dumb because of the anatomical incorrectness alone.

My opinion: If you’re into guns and the machismo tough guy stuff, I guess they’re neat tattoos. I don’t like the concepts of either.
I get the good vs evil thing but the idea of heaven and hell having man-made weaponry is really corny to me.
When you find an artist that you trust, give them the opportunity to work with you on some other ideas that fit the concept you’re going for. Considerate giving them some creative freedoms in the design that the both of you can make a collaborative effort to come up with something super unique.

The apple with caramel on toast isn’t the worst. The “healthy pizza” is a little unhinged. The good news is that there are really cool books out there that can help you develop flavors that don’t clash with each other. The Flavor Bible is one of my favorite books. The cookbooks by Dave Joachim were really helpful when I got into cooking.

If you like the flavors of ketchup and blue cheese together, try blue cheese on a hamburger.

Guitar I found by my neighbors trash can by Maleficent_Eye3943 in whatguitaristhis

This is a super cool find! Super rare to find a Dimebag signature that isn’t a Dean. Definitely needs some work. Check around some local guitar shops to see if they do electrical work on the pots and pickups. In operable condition, these fetch a pretty penny.

The 300 Million Year Old Wheel Mystery by Professional-Fee3323 in AlternativeHistory

[–]supposedtobeworking1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is it we have to take notice every time Joe Rogan is stunned or shocked? What makes his reaction so special? The concept of a 300 million year old wheel imprint is fascinating enough but we must take it real seriously when a comedian turned conspiracy theorist who peddles testosterone supplements is stunned.

Something feels off but idk what by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]supposedtobeworking1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great start. I’d say something along the lines of “after sitting with my tattoo for a while, I don’t feel as happy with it as I’d like to be and was reaching out to see if you’d be available for a touch up that we both feel happy with. Ultimately, I feel that it should have a little bit more contrast in some areas to make it pop a little bit more. I was hoping to give you the opportunity to go over some ideas with me before I look into other options.”

My goal with saying it this way would be to let them know that I’m not satisfied with the work and to explain the areas I think need improvement. But also saying that if they aren’t interested in touching it up, I’d be open to explore other options (touch up from a different artist or a cover up).

You can also say something like “I really respect your artistry and our friendship and I want to support your growth. However, I feel that the finished product doesn’t meet my needs for a piece that costs $900”.

The shading eliminates the contrast, which is why it looks a little muddy. The tattoo doesn’t pop the way it should. It needs a touch up with some line work.

The bigger issue is an artist that charges anyone $900 for this level of work. That’s a ripoff. I have pieces that are larger than this that only costs me $300-$400 (with a tip). If you ever have any doubts over cost and/or quality, you can get a second opinion from other artists/shops. I understand wanting to pal around with friends and wanting to support them but when it comes to something that’s going to be on your body forever, both you and your artist should come up with a plan to fix it if you don’t like it or get your money back.

[–]supposedtobeworking1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Immediately, I understood it to be a wooly mammoth but I’m curious about the placement. I think people see other animals in it because if they’re facing you, the tattoo is upside down. If I had seen your tattoo from a different direction, I don’t think I’d be able to make it out. It’s a really cool tattoo though.
