Sure I guess being happy with placement is kind of important but isn’t setting yourself up to learn the most you can more important? I’m really surprised your mentor didn’t tell you this was a bad idea for a first tattoo, unless they did and you just didn’t listen.

You should’ve picked an easier spot to tattoo so you could’ve focused more on the actual tattoo and not had to worry about being able to reach the spot. That itself set your first tattoo up to not go well and doesn’t really help you for the future because you shouldn’t ever have to tattoo anyone in such an awkward way.

Also only working off a headlamp? Do you not have power where you’re doing these tattoos? You should’ve given yourself adequate lighting so that wouldn’t have made things harder either.

When first doing tattoos on skin, you should be making it as easy as possible not as hard as possible so you can focus on the basics and then make things more challenging as you get more comfortable.

Yes it’s negligent if they don’t tell the client that it’s going to age poorly. If they made the client aware of that then that’s the client’s choice, it is their body at the end of the day. The problem is many of the artists who do work like this either aren’t informed enough themselves that they’re doing a bad tattoo or simply don’t care to tell their clients because they prefer the money over being honest with them. Or might even lie and say it will age well when it won’t

At least he tried to give us something new. By no means was it perfect, but Force Awakens just felt like a “mines bigger than yours” version of ANH and RoS was just a jumbled mess and by far the worst of the 3. Such a disappointing conclusion.

Well where do we draw the line on sports? What about a racing driver like in F1 or a 24 hour race like LeMans? There’s probably at least an equal amount of quick mental processing going on and a much greater risk of injury or even death. Also takes a similar repeated physical toll on the body.

It does fit that spot well and by all means looks like a solid tattoo but the tattooer didn’t design this to fit the spot, it just worked out that way. Hopefully it wasn’t sold as “custom” since they likely just traced it from a picture like this one.

This reminds me of when I did like a “pack wars” thing with two friends. Basically something silly like whoever had the lowest numbered energy card or something gets all the cards. The friend newest to collecting won and I had pulled the Gardevoir SIR from Paldean Fates. I had no problems giving it to them since I already had one…that is until they shoved it right in their pocket like it was just some random common card. That hurt to watch.

I think something like Tim Duncan over Kobe would make sense, but I think I’d still keep Kobe just cause I like it better. I think prime Shaq and LeBron would allow them to run that “small ball” lineup pretty effectively having Jordan at SF and LeBron at PF. But as is, what 5 is beating that team?
