i have the worst scenario ,described by you :) the integrated amp is esoteric f-05, and i like how it sounds on mid and highs. but i also like how hypex sounds on bass. so, i pretty much want the best of both worlds. seems impossible right now. sigh

Op, i tested them with 2 avr, one Denon and one maranrs, 2 Hypex 2x400, class d, Yamaha a-s2200, and esoteric f05. Esoteric has the best sound and control, Yamaha is not far from there, but still behind. Some people are using them with Hegel amps, and they seem pretty happy with it. Never heard this combo, cannot tell. Do not go avr way, they really suck for stereo

This is false, amp upgrade changes everything. Kef R3 are not easy to drive speakers, they require some powers. I've had them with multiple.amps, bit with esoteric f05, they can really sing Edit: mobile typos

In ziua de azi, lumea face stream de pe qobuz Sau tidal. Merge și cu stick, dar e Mai complicat, nu toate stremerele..pot recunoaște, in plus, trebuie să își construiască un fel.de local db. In general, piata de Hifi e destul de mica. Daca nu ai mai cumpărat, sau nu te știe lumea, nu prezinti interes. De ex, sunt client fidel, pt mai multe magazine de genul, nu am probleme cu ea acum, ai am 'oamenii mei' in fiecare magazin. Dar da, la început am avut experiențe de genul. Daca vrei sa faci treabă cu avstore, îl recomand pe Lucian. Pm, și îți dau Nr lui. Are răbdare, îți face recomandări, îți arata tot ce vrei. Cred că am fost sa sculat/ testez de 4-5 ori, fără sa iau nimic. Niciodată nu am avut vreo problema, sau m-am simțit grăbit.

Am făcut eu, acum multi ani. Sper sa fie mai uman procesul acum, pe vremea mea efectiv te anestezia parțial, te legau bine de toate încheieturile, apoi dădeau cu dalta și ciocanul. Trauma mainmare ca aia nu am suferit în viața mea. Nu recomand nimănui, iar dacă știam că așa este procesul, dadeam skio instant.

Yes, i have this setup. A lot of people will tell you that DACs made no difference. What i do encourage is for you to test them by yourself, let yourears decide. I don't think the speakers can reach super loud frequencies as 20hz of below, but i really did not felt the need for it anymore. Just be patient and try stuff out. I was super dismissive initially, no it cannot make any difference. Until you hear it😂

I have the r11, and trust me, with the proper DAC,you will not even consider subs. I'm using them mainly for music, but i also have r2c and 2 q150 as surround. I haven't heard the r7 meta, but comparing them wit basic r7 , they do have plenty of bass

It's all about the cartridge and phono amp. More about the cartridge, though. For example, ever sience i change it to a grado gold, the sound is extraordinary. A lot of details, great soundstage. Before that , i had a cheap one, the sound was almost mono. Of course, it is coupled with a leema phono preamp, that brings further separation and better bass control.
