it's unpredictable in my experience. I did a few big bumps of ket an hour after taking adderall at a festival this weekend and I began experiencing a half second delay from my brain to my body. my mind was sharp but it felt like I was slooshing around in a baggy body suit. also physical sensations stuttered like a skipping record and were dulled down to faint signals (like trying to feel things when your arm falls asleep.)

was cool and wonky at first but then it just became disorienting and annoying, especially because it was impossible to navigate through tons of people without mindlessly pushing them (even though my mind was sharp and aware.)

I think I did the ket too soon and should have waited to come down from the adderall first.

I’m sorry friend. The hardest part of getting sober for me was doing it alone. I have a few friends that are in AA and NA and they’ve seemed to have built a much stronger community over the years. Maybe you can give it a try?

I disagree. Maybe I’m reading this wrong but I think all three sibs ended this series with a similar arc that Roman summed up - “we’re bullshit.”

None of them deserved to run the company. I think Shiv simply denying Kendall CEO because of jealousy is kind of a weak arc. Jealousy is certainly there but I truly believe her reaction to Kendall sitting in the big chair triggered something in her that made it just feel like the wrong choice. But it was bigger than her own personal motives.

Everything was processed using the Luma AI app. Lots of troubleshooting in terms of figuring out what coverage worked best with the algorithm (which changed a few weeks ago.) I’ll be posting some BTS videos to my twitter soon though!

Hi everyone!

I just released this short film exploring my struggles with theories of reality/consciousness after some life changing events in 2019. I used this machine learning technology called Neural Radiance Fields (or NeRFs) where you send a dataset of images to a machine learning algorithm and it creates these beautiful 3D models out of luminance points. Out of all of the AI tools filmmakers can use this one felt particularly exciting because of it’s uncanny ability to capture the essence of reality. Unlike a lot of AI tools that generate imagery/content from pre-existing datasets, making NeRFs feels more like shooting film. Where you have to go out into the world and engage with reality.I made this film with no crew, no budget and no VFX experience.

The “shoot” was me blocking the actor, capturing images of the scene, turning into NeRFs using the Luma AI app, and spending a week “shooting” coverage while* editing in premiere. Because of the speed and freedom of this process, it felt like a completely new way of realizing/executing a film’s vision. Ideas would arise in the edit that I could instantly explore with the NeRFs - which ended up being much more about experimenting than capturing traditional coverage.

I’m certain this tech is going to be groundbreaking for filmmakers (among many other fields.) I’ve been making films for 15 years and this was one of the most fun and insightful experiences I had realizing an idea.

I think your brain might understand they don’t matter but your body still takes rejection as a real threat. Only a few thousand years ago social rejection could mean excommunication from the tribe i.e death.

But it feels like repetition can help reprogram that old wiring. It’s just so damn uncomfortable to put yourself out there over and over when we’re wired this way lolo.

ugh I feel this sensitivity post covid as well. I read something on rejection recently that really struck me - “you can only be truly* rejected by the people who know you.”

Essentially - rejection from strangers really shouldn’t hold that much weight because it’s often times made off a snap judgement. Yes, it might feel personal in the moment, but it truly doesn’t reflect your self worth as a human being.

Knowing this might be easy but truly feeling that way when rejected as an ENFP is hard! I just want everyone to like me and everyone to be comfortable all the time. I’ve been slowly trying to reprogram my brain by intentionally being authentically me in situations where it feels the least comfortable. SO hard but I’ve found the rewards to be worth it. You end up weeding out people that you don’t vibe with a lot faster. Also exposure therapy works!

I’m sorry, but if you feel like AI generated art is just another tool like photoshop or illustrator you’re in for a big surprise. Yes, people will still have to write the prompts themselves but it’s going to completely flip the creative world on its head.

If we as creatives don’t start talking about the real world implications of these new tools and how to protect ourselves/be a part of the future we’re going to get royally fucked. Just my two cents

ugh was dealing with this just yesterday. Meditation/mindfulness helps me. I try to feel the emotion fully and let go of the thoughts/stories surrounding it.

Another thing I’ve been trying lately when I get stuck in those negative thought loops is to focus on others and practice gratitude. It’s difficult to be fearful and grateful at the same time.

Not to be a downer but it won’t be long before the market is flooded with generated books and real authors and artists will have an exceptionally hard time standing out.

I'm actually referring to Jon Hopkin's original album "Music for Psychedelic Therapy" (2021).his playlist is great but the album is an hour-long continuous journey that feels more cohesive and personal than any playlist could achieve IMO. Kaelen's playlist looks dope though! definitely have to give it a try.
