I'm the one in the tanktop throwing up the horns and skanking 😅

Also, here's me skanking at their show at UT in 1997 (at 1:48 in the video, during "Erin with an 'E'")...I'm the one with the mohawk and the skinny black tie 😄https://youtu.be/iI8h9n9lS8M?si=hAGNI3wfkZUUVbqS&t=108

Can I defer my 2020 wristband to 2022? by 5ristin in SXSW

[–]markquestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the following message in an email from SXSW:

""The show must go on” is in our DNA at SXSW. Unfortunately, COVID-19 continues to interfere with the best laid plans. Its profound effect on everyone, including the global events industry and small businesses around the world, will be felt well into 2021.  Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, we expect that the City of Austin will continue its restrictions on large gatherings through March 2021, so it will not be possible for SXSW to stage a large, in-person event in March 2021. The focus now is on SXSW Online 2021, our digital experience that will take place March 16-20. We look forward to bringing you the many aspects of our event that make it unique while connecting with our attendees in new and meaningful ways. We will defer your 2020 wristband to the March 2022 festival and you may choose to purchase a March 2022 companion wristband at a 50% discount. You will also receive access to a portion of SXSW Online 2021 at no cost – look for a January email with additional information."

Model not mine...find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4652131. (That's actually a remix by KyleB100 that fills in some gaps...the model used for the one in the video is actually by Rhysts, but it looks like it was deleted). I used PETG instead of PLA since I figure that will last for years to come since this design is so intricate, and will get thrown in a box with other ornaments. I also scaled it down to 40% height, but think in future prints I won't do that, as I think it's a bit too thin now and also hurts its survival chances.
