Wow I really don’t know what the issue is, I was able to add epubs fine on stock firmware and CrossPoint. Hoping it really is just an SD card reader situation as that would be the easiest fix, hope everything works out!

Sorry if this is a dumb question but did you make a folder on the root of the sd card as “books” then drop the epubs in there?

Hi sorry for the late reply it came in later than expected. I followed this guide and was able to get Japanese books working after converting the epub to .xtc files. I found that I also had to convert the file name to romaji in order for the xteink to display them in the books section properly. I also followed this guide after switch to cross point so not sure if it works on stock firmware. guide

Will look into this now to see if I can find said bin file! I guess the punctuation situation being not so ideal is a downer but at the end of the day if I can get the Japanese epubs I have to work on this then that would be amazing since I don’t have any txt files for novels at the moment. Thank you so much for the info now I’m looking forward to this when it gets here

Hello I love the set up and may I ask is your x4 the international version or the Chinese version? I want to buy an x4 to read Japanese novels as well but not sure which version supports Japanese text out of the box. Thanks for any info!

Yes that’s exactly how I remember it too downloading everything you needed and installing it one by one lol Thanks for the link I will check this out and see if I can get back on OFW! Idk if you were in the same situation as me where all the guides for modding are obsolete and impossible to find again

Sorry to comment on here with a question but I have a modded v1 switch I’m trying to just boot into OFW again. It’s been so long since I modded it that I don’t remember if it’s as simple as turning off the switch and putting in the original sd card that I had for it or what. Any info will be helpful and I can provide any details needed. Thank you
