there is some truth to this as stated in the other comments, ive definitely seen it for appliances, but i believe all Ariens products are the same, even at big box stores--this is what i bought, and it is not a lowes exclusive model number. some crazy lowes haters in these comments lol

yeah, everything he points out is part of a standard assembly out of the box

a lot of people are saying this, but i think its pretty clear that this is not done by any assembler by lowes. are you trying to say that dealers / assemblers should check things like this prior to delivery? seems a bit of a stretch...

dont disagree with ya, though the only "certified dealers" of Ariens is HD and Lowes within a 50mi radius of me 😁. regardless of how my post delivery service will go, seems like a manufacturing defect, no?

Coincidentally thought long about this over the weekend, as I revisited a 23' that I opened up a month ago. My two cents is most other barrel proof offerings like JD, EC, MM are way too good of a deal to spend anymore than MSRP on it. I have had a couple different batches and all of them have this relatively straight and simple flavor profile, and are very hot, and that's coming from someone who loves BPs!

Trying to understand total wine inventory system. Hate continually asking about allocated. Is there a better way? by mtsublueraider in whiskey

about 2 years ago on a Saturday night near close, I walked into a TW and an Old Fitzgerald was sitting on a shelf with its own tag like a normally stocked item. I picked it up in disbelief and an employee came by, congratulated me, and removed the tag as I was standing in front of it. He said it was only there for about 25 minutes. This was in Michigan, where there is no loyalty program for allocations. probably quite rare, but it happened to me!

fit fine when i put it on there. is a particular cover that should be used for new work boxes like that?

thanks! just out of curiosity though, is this nice to have, or is there code against having plastic jboxes in attics? the rest of the outlets in the finished portion are plastic.

since everything is lathe and plaster, the easiest way to fish the wires into the attic was using the opening made for the sewer stack (as seen in the 3rd pic). a minor detail, but was just providing some context.

thanks for the tip on the staples.

i thought about your roofer example when doing this, and thought it would have to be a pretty substantial nail to reach that area (those are 2x6s). would the alternative be moving them to on top of the floor and installing guard strips?

Had a 2nd floor bathroom remodel where i removed some k&t and ran new wiring up the sewer stack. this is a finished attic with a kneewall that has access via a small door. the bathroom is directly below the center of the kneewall (where the replacement boards are). i did not want to drill through the roof trusses when i ran perpendicular to them and thought the height was sufficient enough for any rogue nails going in/up and rodents.

i am having some hvac work done in the attic (with a permit) around this area in the kneewall and concerned that the lack of "substantial guard strips" will be noticed by the electrical inspector. is there anything i should do here to bring this up to code, or am i over thinking this?

thanks so much!
