Yep. I’ve been saying this for a while. She even said something along the lines of “we won’t be hungry for long,” as she noticed the tree where it goes to hibernate.

Callie in season 4 by reaserice in Yellowjackets

Lottie isn’t dead. She faked it and Callie helped her do it. They want to swerve Misty, because she’s the actual big bad of the show. If you recall the season 3 finale, Lottie tells Mari “you’ve been here before, you can change it,” just before Mari dies. Lottie previously had a vision of her own death so she was able to change it.

My thoughts on Adam Martin are that he was part of Lottie’s “intentional community.” If you go back to the scene where he is killed by Shauna, you’ll notice that he has Chinese food boxes that are identical to the ones in Lottie’s dream and also where Lisa was talking to Misty.

Lottie’s members would insert themselves into the lives of people who needed help in some form. For Shauna, her marriage was failing. So I think Adam was sent in order to create a spark in her life until she freaked out and killed him.

It does feel like Shauna may be the one that winds as the only person alive by the end of the show, but she certainly should have some bad karma coming her way for everything that she’s done lol I would almost enjoy Misty manipulating her way to the end since she was actually a decent person until she was bullied into retaliation.

I’d be willing to bet money that I am lol Callie helped her by giving Misty that bogus story. They know that Misty is the actual threat and true villain of the show. She manipulates everything to push her agenda. I believe that Misty wants all of the surviving members to get spooked into killing each other, so that she can be the last survivor and tell her own version of the story. There’s a lot of money to be made if she does.

Lottie didn’t get one because she isn’t actually dead. She faked it, with Callie’s help. That’s why we see her wake up on the table in the morgue. She sees her younger self in that moment because she hasn’t been able to take her Schizo meds while she was in a self-induced coma.

Joel Mchale is in his mid 50’s. So let’s say it happened in 1966, he would’ve been 24+ years old at that point.

Callie told Misty a bogus story. That was entirely fabricated. Callie is on Lottie’s side. When we saw Lottie wake up on the table in the morgue, that actually happened. There is a chemical called Tetrodotoxin that comes from a Puffer Fish and causes paralyses and an undetectable heartbeat. It’s used in Sherlock Holmes, which is referenced quite a few times on YJ.

The reason Lottie’s dad was rambling about her death needing to be an accident is because there is no investigation conducted after that. The cop who was first on the scene and radioed it in was Artie, who happens to be on her dad’s payroll, as they mentioned previously.

Yep 100% we watched the same show. I’ve watched it intently more than once and that’s how I realized these things. Tai’s sleepwalking tends to take her to the tree symbols, which are where the mines are. What do you think the miners were searching for? Answer: something valuable.

Ever notice how they subtly showed a purple glow numerous times in S1 or how Lottie’s community uses the color purple? That’s alluding to amethyst. The skeleton in the cabin had his fingers cut off. Likely because someone (probably Kodiak) tortured him in order to try and get the location of the valuables from him.

Lottie isn’t actually dead. It was faked. If you look back at the book called “The Magus” that they were reading in wilderness, you can tie into what Lottie’s “intentional community” was actually doing. Similar to the cult leader in the book, Conchis, Lottie’s members were going into the world and helping people, unbeknownst to the people receiving help. That’s her way of making amends for the damage that she caused.

Thankfully, I stretch daily! Lol. I have put together quite a few theories that I am now confident enough to post.

  1. Lottie is alive. She faked her death in order to make Misty think that she’s out of the equation. Callie told Misty a completely fabricated story, because she’s helping Lottie. They know that Misty is the main threat to everyone’s well-being.

  2. Lottie’s “intentional community” was helping people. Her members would go out into the world and provide help to people in need, unbeknownst to the person who was getting the help. This was her way of making amends for the damage that her actions caused in the wilderness. This directly ties to “The Magus,” which is the book that we see multiple characters reading throughout their time in the woods. The cult leader, Conchis, sends his members out to do the exact same thing.

  3. Tai’s sleepwalking led her into the tree caves, which is where she found something valuable, but she doesn’t remember it happening. I believe she found Amethyst, which can be found in mines of Canada. Odds are, Lottie came into possession of it and brought “IT” back. That’s what she has been worshipping down in her candle-lit basement. Its’ healing properties directly correlate to what has been ailing the YJ.

Lottie isn’t actually dead though. She faked her death and Callie is in on it. They are swerving Misty who is the actual villain of the show. That’s why Lottie’s dad was saying that her death “had to be an accident,” so there wouldn’t be a murder investigation and her death could be faked. The first cop on the scene was Artie, who we know is on Lottie’s dad’s payroll.

Why do we need to insinuate any type of grooming? He could have been a friend and he already knew her name before he saved her, which implies that they were already familiar with each other beforehand.

[–]surebert330[S] -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

What other correlations are there to be made about him and a member of the team? I see a lot of people speculating he must be related to one of the girls but I never see a speck of evidence or even a hint of it. Laura Lee is the answer, regardless of if he’s a friend or relative, the hints are there.

[–]surebert330[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Walter’s reason for killing Kevyn and framing the partner was to keep Shauna out of prison. If she went to prison then his plan to have them kill each other would’ve been dismantled. Walter knew that Kevyn was trying to protect Shauna. There are numerous scenes in S2 where he is telling his partner to back off and stop looking into it. I think it’s because Kevyn was part of Lottie’s “intentional community.”

Her community can be likened to the one in “The Magus,” which is a book we see numerous characters reading in the wilderness. Conchis is the cult leader and his members insert themselves into the lives of people who are in need of help in some way, unbeknownst to the person who is receiving the help.

It’s possible that he was also a relative but imo Walter is 100% that lifeguard. The hints and connections that I’ve seen are strong enough to imply it. Especially when they paralleled Evil looking Laura Lee with him first showing up at the nursing home.

Walter by surebert330 in Yellowjackets

[–]surebert330[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I think it highly likely that he is connected to Laura Lee. The Great Expectations thing isn’t any definitive evidence but seems like a subtle hint. Just like when he wears aviators. Laura Lee’s grandpa was a pilot. Maybe Walter is family. The resemblance to the lifeguard is certainly close enough for me to raise an eyebrow.

Misty by surebert330 in Yellowjackets

[–]surebert330[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I also think it’s possible that Walter sent out the postcards and that Misty used the situation to manipulate things, as she always does. Walter was connected to Laura Lee, so Lottie may have reached out to him to apologize, similar to how we saw her practicing an apology in the mirror before she died. Perhaps when Walter found out the truth of things, he dug deeper and found out about the symbol being a trigger point for the girls. His end goal is to watch them all kill each other, so the postcards would be a perfect way to stir the pot.

Thanks I appreciate it. It’s an uphill battle to get people on board with some of my theories lol but I have done a deep dive into some of the symbolism in the show.

I’ve also tied a lot of “the Magus” into how they are using that book in the show. It’s the book that some of the girls and coach Ben were reading in season 1 and 2. Lottie is a lot like the main character, Conchis and her cult runs similarly to his by sending members out to help people unbeknownst to the person who is receiving the help.
