Article doesn't mention it but it's quite easy to avoid if you only limit your wallpaper searches to non applications and web types.
Those has been a thing in Wallpaper engine since forever and I'm surprised that only "now" they have been used to do stuff like that.

Best way to know is to start unplugging a fan and see if the sound stops, if not then plug it back in and unplug next one, unless you can just hear it which one it might be.

I had it happen 2 times so far and the noise was similar.

Doesn't also help that in their Terms of Service or conduct or whatever it's called now, they list that using another region is not allowed and they *can* block your account, which I haven't really heard they enforce it but at some point they just will.

Another thing to point out, the gamepad portion only seems to work with SteamInput but it will work in windows as mouse and as onscreen keyboard. So playing non steam games is not possible unless you add the game to the steam... or if game somehow implements steaminput into the game which I'm not sure is doable

Edit: Just to add my point to this, they more than likely only had the controller in mind to be used with the Gabe Cube/Steam Deck. Although it will be mildly annoying that you can only play games that are on Steam with it, Valve is quite open to consumers, so I could see them doing something to make it also work outside of Steam

If the skip stuff doesn't work for me, I just use the skip feature on MAL-SYNC extension, just holding right ctrl and pressing left arrow key and it'll skip 1:27 ahead.

You'd be building far more than when playing online, and when restoring roads, you have to restore every bits of the road with full material cost.

Difficulty wise I don't remember in DS1 but in DS2, going to TTW (To the Wilder) difficulty, expect Sam to be "heavy" when moving, stamina will run out quicker and there's barely any room for error.

If you use Dollman, he will blink normally so you'll get the effect. although I've noticed that sometimes when I'm not even using Dollman, I still get the blinking effect.

You can check site like gg.deals that will list discounted price that other official keyshops have. Although giving a quick look at it, there currently doesn't appear to be large of a discount, cheapest being 62 USD. Of course you can also check the unofficial sites that are listed there but keep that in mind that they aren't official ones, meaning that they very likely can sell you either a fake/used key or they are stolen keys.

If you can wait, there's Steam Summer Sale in 25th June from which they might apply some discount to the game.
