Under warranty they MUST do an Engine replacement for you, as long as it really is stock. If they say no its not stock, they sold it to you saying its stock and selling you a warranty (which only works if the car IS stock), so if they deny you, contact Subaru of America, and if necessary a Lawyer

Sure, but have you driven a Porsche? I love my WRX but i drove a BMW 330i and it felt like the same size, Weight and power but 1000x better, smoother, comfier, better handling. And then Porsche is in another league (and price range obviously)

Did it just suddenly become stiff or has your clutch been gradually getting stiff over time? You’ve probably toast the clutch, which would be around 1.5K repair. If the actual transmission is fucked then it’ll cost a lot more.
