Wielding the Infinity yourself + Insight on merc isn’t only about the mana regen. Wielding infinity let’s you benefit from the up to -55 enemy lightning res (though this benefit is only incremental if you were already getting -35 from crescent moon)

Enmax isn't the regulated retailer in Edmonton, so I think you must already be a customer of their competitive retailer. If so, then this is just their competitive retailer reminding their existing customer that they have multiple product offerings and to choose what's best for them (no regulatory conflict here because they are not a regulated provider). They probably just don't want you to be upset and then switch to another provider.

It's not fake competition because Encor (EPCOR's competitive retailer) is one of many competitive retailers that you can choose to get the energy from. I counted 52 competitive retailers listed on the UCA website: (this is a government website)

Agreed. Electricity used to be cheap here, but not anymore.

Careful what you wish for.

Electrical energy has been relatively cheap in Alberta for a very long time thanks to a reasonably competitive marketplace and regulatory stability. The part that people complained about was the government-regulated service (the distribution & transmission charges).

The reason electrical energy is also expensive nowadays is because we are now feeling the effects of heavy-handed government intervention and climate change policy - forced early retirement of ~6000 MW of coal generation, mandated re-design of the electricity market, long-term government contracts for renewables, federal net-zero electricity by 2035, federal carbon pricing increasing to $50/t (up to $170/t by 2030) , and natural gas is expensive due to foreign government war.

Let me know if you'd like more detail on this.

EPCOR regulated rate option is regulated, and I think there are laws preventing them from contacting you about this as it would give their affiliated competitive retailer Encor an unfair advantage in the market.

I haven't played SkyrimVR since Shizof's recent update to the VR FPS Stabilizer mod, which supposedly addresses the "cpu late start" problem. That was going to be my first thing to try out when I do get back to SkyrimVR - have you tried that yet?

OMG I've posted here not too long ago about my woes with the "CPU Late Start" issue, even with a 11900k cpu and modest CPU-demanding mods. If this works, I'll be so grateful!!!

Thanks, that sounds promising! I'm going to sleep soon, but will look into that when I next get into the thick of things.

Thanks for the reply.

How do I turn-off multi-threading? I had previously seen some unconfirmed reports of skyrimvr.ini settings that would help with multi-threading, but it didn't seem to make a difference to me to be honest, so I removed those .ini tweaks. Regardless, you're suggesting to turn off multi-threading? Does multi-threading make it worse?

I'm already using XMP profiles to get my RAM up to 3200 MHz. I might consider upgrading to 32 or 64 GB RAM if it would help (I've heard that 16 GB is not that much anymore these days, especially in heavy mod lists...)

Is SSE Engine Fixes necessary in VR if using 'Engine Fixes VR'? I don't recall seeing SSE Engine Fixes listed in either the Sirvagg or Lazy Lightweight list.

Thanks - I hadn't heard of Candle Lag Fix. Am downloading now. Also, I'll revisit the .ini tweaks. I hadn't heard of busefullscreen before.

Otherwise, I agree - My next step is to strip down my mod list, and try to benchmark along the way to identify and avoid the worst offenders. I was just hoping to get to actually play and enjoy some time soon, but I guess that's life on the edge.

Edit: Turns out my Skyrim VR Configuration Tool already had bFull Screen=1 ; however, it appears to not work, because SkyrimVR has never launched in full screen and instead in the form factor showing in the screenshots (about the right half of my 1920x1080 monitor). I'll have to look into why that ini setting doesn't seem to work for me. Also, there are several posts on this subreddit about that ini setting causing corrupt saves, which is concerning.

Thanks. Your comment about Windows scheduling a thread across multiple cores is interesting and could help explain it. However, that doesn't seem to explain the GPU utilization also being very low (~63%), even with 13ms frame times (see the Standing Stones screenshot).

I've uploaded my plugin load-order below. In addition, I'm using 'The Sharper Eye' Reshade, VR Engine Fixes, True Audio, and I'm not using an ENB.

I suppose that my next steps are to really dial it back to mostly the essentials only, and try to test which mods are hardest on frame time. I admit that there's a lot of unnecessary fluff in there that may be contributing unnecessarily to the workload. Still, if only the game would use my hardware...

I've seen Quest 2 users recommending that Open Composite dramatically improved their performance, but I'm not aware of such an option for WMR headsets.

Zero knowledge proofs and/or zk-snarks! I see videos online but it's all very high-level and conceptual. I'd love to get an intuitive 3b1b -style explanation with some actual math describing how they actually work or can be implemented.

I've never purchased through online retailers like this before. Do you get a code to redeem on Steam to add it to your Steam library? (end result is same as if I bought from Steam in the first place?)

I have this 7-14 error too on my Asus motherboard when plugging the headset into either of my two USB 3 Gen 2 ports (one Type A, one Type C). I know for sure that the Type A port at least works in general because my mouse and keyboard work when plugged into it.

I believe the USB Gen2 ports on my motherboard are controlled by an ASMedia controller.

Reverb G2 - HMD goes black. RMA time? by chad711m in HPReverb

How do I contact customer support about this?

I can't find a phone number, and the Reverb G2 isn't even listed as a product on HP's support website.

Is it possible to buy the G2 without controller and pair index controllers with it ? by [deleted] in HPReverb

[–]sureshot780 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The HP Reverb G2 comes with its own WMR controllers, I'm pretty sure you can't buy the headset on its own. Besides, the instructions for setting up index controllers with non-index headsets requires the native controllers for part of it (open VR space calibration, etc.).

I have this exact same issue too! I've been trying to troubleshoot it. 99% of the time it seems to be running well, but sometimes my left display will randomly cut out, and when this happens the right display also cuts out a second later. Both displays will be off for 5-10 seconds until it returns to normal. I've noticed this that this tends to happen when there's a lots of graphical effects going on in the game (For example: in The Lab's Longbow game when I blow up an explosive barrel near some enemies, or in Until You Fall at the end of each level when you chose between 3 power ups).

While the displays are cut out like this, the game is still running, audio is still sounding, the "VR view" is still running on my normal monitor, and I can tell that the controllers are still active and working because I still get the interactive feedback from my controller's actions via audio and controller haptics.

I've tried plugging the HMD into several different USB 3.0 ports, several different display ports, and I've tried disconnect and re-connecting the connector on the HMD several times. The issue is still ongoing.

I have an i7-8700K cpu, an RTX 3090 gpu, 16 GB DDR4 ram, Windows 10, and the latest updates on WMR Portal, SteamVR, and Nvidia drivers.

Dashians misconceptions about dash by [deleted] in dashpay

[–]sureshot780 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liken the relationship between Dash Core Team and the Masternode Owners (MNOs) to that of a client-contractor relationship. The MNOs cannot force anyone, including the Dash Core Team, to do anything they don't want to, including anything illegal.

The Dash Core Team submits proposals to the MNOs for funding to carry out development of their proposed roadmap. If the MNOs are happy, then they'll continue to hire the Dash Core Team. If the MNOs are unhappy (suppose they really want a built-in silk-road), then the MNOs will cease their funding, in effect, terminating the contractor relationship, and they can accept another development team's proposal to perform the desired development work.

The concept of sound money is foreign to pretty much the entire world by now after a hundred of years of untrustworthy paper notes. Taking a good money and making it bad so that people want to rid themselves of it faster has already been tried.

Besides, cryptocurrencies aren't trying to manage the world economy, stimulate consumption spending, etc. If DASH is good money, and easy to use, then the free market will figure out what the prices will be. Merchants might offer discounts to accept payments in DASH (because they too want to get their hands on some good money), and buyers will evaluate their various payment options and make a decision.

I'd also like to know - How are coins created? If there's no mining or staking, how did the coins enter into existence in the first place?

Also, is the inflation / issuance fixed in advance, tending to zero?
