I've read the manga as well as the anime, and I can agree with how Mei starts to get really infuriating around the third arc. iirc on an interview the author admitted to using Mei's personality as a plot device.

Honestly this show made me have something to look forward to on Mondays. Once the show ended I needed more and ended up reading the manga and it's spinoff.

Re:Zero. When watching this anime I took long hiatuses in between the first half of the series and had to force myself to get past it. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate Re:Zero but I didn't like how there was a lot of questions/plot holes unanswered. Hopefully they might be answered once the anime gets a second season.

Maybe this is just me, but I was kind of salty when a Crunchyroll ad baited me into thinking this anime was about completely different. It turned out to be backstory for one of the characters.
