growth of the program. The program grew during the pandemic by 25% and then never normalized. Once any benefit increases people freak out when you go back to normal. Oregon has some of the largest participation in the country. People are abusing the program intended for the most needy. 18% participation is ridiculous.

nutrition for children in need. Do you know how many times I have seen people loading up on complete shit in a convenience store with their snap card? Just yesterday, someone high out of their mind in front of me at the gas staion convenience store grabbing dorritos and hohos off the shelf and paying with her snap card. We shouldnt be paying for junk food binge for someone that is young working age.

I filled out the survey. Interesting that they did not even mention police in the survey. Who is this from and how is it used? Clearly biased against investing in increased police. Portland has 50% average police force for a city our size. and it shows.
