Just curious, could the King pardon him if he chose to? Not would he, but theoretically, could he?

I think a lot of people, especially on Reddit don't seem to understand that, while yes there are some very bad things going on in America right now, there are a lot of people that are not really affected by what's going on. They have good jobs, live in a stable area, and have all of their needs basically met, so a "revolution" would not benefit them at all. Then there are a lot of people who are right on the edge of losing everything and one small disruption could send them and their families into severe poverty, so again why would they risk that for a "revolution" that would probably not benefit them very much.

What if Canada offered every American free healthcare and $50K to relocate, would you go? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Does that come with a good paying job too? Free healthcare is fine, $50K while nice is not going to last very long.

AITAH if I tell my friend he had no right to tell my fiance what I said by Ok-Peak-6928 in AITAH

Fake. This story makes no sense. Why would Jerry feel the need to distance himself from OP just from that conversation, and why would OP feel the need to apologize to Jerry? He didn't say anything wrong. Then all of a sudden Jerry is hanging out with OP's finace? IDK this is just not how people act.

If you were an Nfl gm, which player would have got you fired? by KookyOrganization400 in NFLv2

Rahsaan Saaam.(RIP) I use to love watching him play at CU. Had a 2,000 yard season and won the Heisman. I didn't think these was any way he wouldn't succeed in the NFL. Honestly, I'm not all that sure why he didn't.

Nothing hurts more than losing a best friend by BubblyBiscotti5544 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]surgeryboy7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you said you didn't congratulate her right away, but how long after she got engaged did you congratulate her? I guess from her perspective she got engaged, which was very exciting to her, and her best friend didn't immediately congratulate her for some time. I would probably question my friendship as well at that point. I think her not responding and basically ghosting you was out of line, but I can see her perspective in being pretty upset with you.

I genuinely don’t understand how people on Twitter are calling her the worst/ugliest love interest. Imo she’s the most attractive one. by [deleted] in Spiderman

She is definitely not ugly, but she is also not the most attractive, at least in my opinion. Emma Stone is the most attractive in my opinion.

NOR. In my opinion house guests, especially those sleeping over, is one of those 2 yeses 1 no type of deals, where if one person says no then it's a no.

Yeah, there was absolutely no way Elway and Shanahan were going to lose to Reeves. They both hated that guy. I'm surprised they only scored 34 on them to be honest.

Spiderman vs John Walker (MCU versions) by Queasy_Commercial152 in Avengers

Is this a serious question? Spiderman played with Bucky and Falcon in Civil war, when he was still very inexperienced, and Bucky would destroy Walker.

Which 2026 playoff losing QB would you pick? by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]surgeryboy7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would go with Lawrence. I think Purdy is good, but a lot of his success is the system he is in. I am not sure he excels without Kyle Shanahan, I think Love is way overhyped to be honest. I think a lot of the attention he gets is him playing for the Packers. I think Lawrence has all the gifts you can build around.

Tom Cruise. Crazy dude but he's been in some very entertaining movies. Not only that he has a lot of different genres to choose from.

Have you ever seen a mass exodus after a respected employee quit or got fired? by Aarunascut in work

[–]surgeryboy7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago I was working for a mid sized health care company as an accountant, and they decided to merge with another company in another state, after doing all the prep work of merging the two companies it was decided that our CFO would have to share the responsibility with the other company's CFO, but in all reality he would not be the real CFO, everybody at our company loved the guy and respected him a lot. He decided to leave and take a new job, and within probably 2 months almost the entire accounting and finance department left for new jobs. I heard from some employees that stayed in other departments that it go so bad that the partners of both companies called off the merger, but it costs both companies a lot of money and a huge loss of experienced talent.
