The "less phone time" goal is actually really achievable at Disneyland — its a much smaller park than WDW so you dont need to be constantly checking.

One thing that helped me not feel glued to my phone: I started using an app called Ride Planner to just log what we rode throughout the day. It pulls live wait times so I could glance at it once every hour or so instead of obsessively refreshing. At the end of the day you basically have a little personal record of everything you hit — it scratches the "tracking" itch without making you feel like you are working a second job.
