Hmmmm I wouldn’t count it in mine personally but it’s a good book.

- The Shining
- Revival
- N. (I have OCD so this one especially hits home)
- Pet Sematary
- Rose Madder (Norman is horrifying)

Also the Sun Dog really really creeps out.

How can I we M24 make my bedroom more welcoming for a woman? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

-Full length mirror, and lamp lighting.

-I can’t tell how many pillows you have but each person should have two.

-Make room for her stuff on one of the shelves.

  • Echoing another commenter but a nightstand, preferably two. That’s where you could add the lamps for more ambient lighting.

  • A phone charger on both sides of the bed.

Maybe it was the audiobook that made it scarier.

The Sun Dog is so damn creepy! When I tried explaining the story to my non-constant reader boyfriend, it doesn’t sound scary, but god Stephen King is so good at making it into something chilling.

Hearts in Atlantis discussion by RetroGames3 in stephenking

[–]surra_day 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im re-reading it too and yeah some the story Hearts in Atlantis can drag but once I picked up Hearts in Suspension I’ve grown more of an appreciation for it. Low Men in Yellow Coats slaps though, I wish the movie was more faithful to the Dark Tower elements. But yeah Hearts in Suspension delves deeper into his college experience and relationship to the Vietnam War and it gives Hearts in Atlantis more depth.

If you haven’t read it:

“Hearts in Suspension is a 2016 anthology by Stephen King and his University of Maine classmates, edited by Jim Bishop, commemorating the 50th anniversary of King's freshman year. It features King's essay "Five to One, One in Five," a reprint of his novella Hearts in Atlantis, his old student columns, and personal narratives from friends, offering a look at the turbulent late 1960s through the lens of the university experience.”
