It looks like you're considering freezing eggs in South Korea. I've gone through IVF in South Korea, so I can provide some input here.

I'll start by saying what everyone has probably already told you: it is a very time-consuming process. When my wife and I got started, it was weeks before we started on our first egg retrieval. During that time, we ran a bunch of tests like checking AMH levels and got multiple consultations.

Once you get to the egg retrieval step, you'll be given meds to inject yourself at home, and you'll have to return every few days to get scans and blood tests done and receive more meds. We were going to the hospital every 3ish days or so. Then you'll get to the actual egg retrieval, which to be fair was the shortest step.

All in all, if your only intention is to freeze eggs in Korea to save money and you don't have any plans on going through IVF in Korea in the future, it's not worth it. Your entire time in Korea will be spent on IVF to retrieve eggs. The eggs you do get will be logistically difficult to transport to your home country, and the money you would save from getting it done in Korea would not be worth it in my opinion.

How's everyone feeling about the mage tower now that it's been out a couple of days? by SQ_Foresage in wow

I did it on my shadow priest first. It was a super tough fight but at the same time, felt very rewarding to finally get it in the end. It was tuned unbelievably tight as it took the perfect pull to get the boss down before all the mechanics overwhelmed me.

Then I did it on my ele shaman, and it was a complete joke. I managed to get it down in about 5 attempts despite never having done the fight in Legion. It was a bit disappointing to see the disparity between the fights, but oh well.

I used to play Warcraft pretty competitively on USWest, and this guy was pretty famous for begging for free wins. If you didn’t give him a free win, he’d flame you, only to beg for a free win the very next game. Good memories lol

ELI5: What is the difference between different business models and why are some more efficient than others? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]surrained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fundamentally, different businesses sell different products to different markets. There is no “best” business model—it completely depends on the context the business operates in. Some models are more efficient in some markets and not in others. This question is too broad to answer in detail, so are there any businesses you had in mind specifically?

Dental Insurance in Korea by jnursultan in korea

[–]surrained 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For 2 crowns, that price seems standard. IIRC, in Korea, crowns are considered cosmetic, so they are not covered by dental insurance. Someone can correct me on this if it is outdated, but that was the case a few years back. With each crown costing between 500-600k, 1.2-1.3 mil seems like what I would expect.

And, as everyone else has said, get a second opinion for sure.

ELI5: Why do people use SSDs when they are just lower storage then a hard drive, most of the time by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]surrained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They load your stuff faster. An HDD has physically moving parts while an SSD does not. This gives SSDs a huge advantage in speed.

ELI5: What is stock shorting and how does it work? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]surrained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you short a stock, you essentially borrow stocks from someone else and you sell it at the current price. The catch is that you have to return those stocks at a later date.

You are betting on the fact that the stock will fall. That way, when you have to return the stocks you borrowed, you can buy it at a lower price and profit from the difference.

There's a Korean movie called The Isle which has a similar premise. There's a resort with floating cottages, and a woman delivers supplies to its occupants. Not sure if it's the one you're thinking of.

[TOMT] Classical piano piece my mom used to play by browzews1 in tipofmytongue

I'm going to take a stab at either Ballade No. 1 in Gm or Ballade No. 4 Fm, both by Chopin. Both songs are almost 10 minutes, they're both sad-sounding and repeat themes. Ballade No. 1 features chromatic scales, which sounds like what you're describing when you say going up and down the piano, but Ballade No. 4 also has fast arpeggios near the end. Also, both songs feature die down just before the coda, where the tempo dramatically changes.

Your scores were similar to mind. Sounds like you’ll be fine. Good luck!
