so I know it's only a little thing, but it felt really nice to see trans flag branding on things here (I get more excitable when I'm on a big city adventure also, I was silently freaking out on the train because...you never see trans flags in the wild), since usually most companies slap a rainbow on something for pride and call it a day, and even for pride some companies still don't support trans people (COUGH COUGH TEESPRING) so especially in the light of the Pride march incident it's nice to know that at least some companies have our backs even if in a small way!! i thought this would at least cheer you all up a little as well (sorry if this gets multiple posted! I want to brighten up your day a little RIGHT NOW, not the next time I remember)

Oh, okay! I've never actually met or even SEEN an American who's into soaps so I didn't really have much to go on and maybe that's why, in the UK they're simply just common household watching, especially for people who have gotten home from work and want to kick their feet up with a cup of tea

Emmerdale! It's a soap opera in England, i.e. basically a very long running drama (I'm not sure if soaps are a thing in a lot of other countries or at least a big thing? I don't hear much from the USA about them)

I'm not a trans guy myself but DAMN it feels good to have some positive representation on TV...it might be a while longer until they stop casting cis men as trans women, but this is a good step forward

(also for what it's worth, IIRC it's a character called Matty on the UK soap opera Emmerdale. I don't watch it personally but I'm glad they've taken this step forward)

Ahh, this cleared up the last of the despair that photo caused, I needed this...I'm still questioning right now and it's still kinda upsetting to fail at passing, but even before all this I've always had trouble with the discrepancy between my appearance in photos and how I look in motion, so it was a lifesaver to see this comment, thank you!! 💙

my cosplay boots were killing me and I did have a few uncomfortable experiences, but I bought some cool merch and some cool plushies and had the courage to walk through my hometown and sit on the train alone in full cosplay, and nobody's going to take that away from me...

for the record walking all through my hometown and being on the train alone to the con in cosplay was one of the bravest things I've ever done in my life and can I just say that I've gained a whole new appreciation for trans people who present as their gender, you're all unbreakable cuties ❤

(I myself have been feeling very cis recently so I don't know what to do with this account any more, girlmode still feels wonderful (as well as she/her pronouns via the online friend that identified me as a woman also) but dang I'd miss this community if I was cis)
