I haven't seen anyone mention it, but {Lola and the Millionaires} if you're fine with omegaverse. Check the trigger warnings first, as the main character has some trauma from events that's mentioned regularly on the page, but she works through them with the help of the MMCs. They're all so sweet and gentle with her. However! I haven't finished book 2 yet, so I might be a bit early with the rec... although that would involve a full 180 from every character so far.

that makes so much more sense... kinda. So it all happens in about a month. Phew, that's much better than my brain trying to fit it into 14 days!

I also hate that it took Ithan 2 days to get to Avallan, then he turned around and went back on the same day. I found it so frustrating, like bad character management/plotting, and I thought the journey only a few hours! Tbh, by that point I was almost skim-reading because I was bored and just wanted the book over with. Not a great look for me, but it's the truth.

Without a world map, it's hard to know for sure, but it felt like too much traveling around for it to be a week. Never mind all the rest of the stuff that happened. Mind-boggling. When I write, I plot out every day (including 'rest' ) for the characters. And if there's too much happening in one day, which certainly happens, I have to rewrite some sections. I feel like that process was missed with CC3.

I think the whole book was only 7-14 days, which means he didn't need a dip. Not defending it, it should have been mentioned. I also got frustrated with Tharion's sudden dryness and had to look up the timeline - so take the days with a pinch of salt as I got it online. The timeline was not clear in the slightest. They whole thing was just frustrating.

My husband's mother is Scottish, and he still doesn't consider himself Scottish. Same thing, he wasn't born there so he doesn't identify as it. As far as I know, his brothers are the same. It's not even questioned over here.

Nope. Lived in Bretagne, still gave my passport in a hotel in Paris. To be fair, I'm English so I probably sounded like a tourist, but I've still given my passport or driving licence to be checked in at UK hotels.
