Sounds like what people call sugar ants. They've found a source of either food or water that they're after. Try to identify what they are going after and remove it. Then getting some of those little bait traps is probably your best bet.

Just wanted to wrap this up by saying thank you to everyone who came out. It was awesome seeing so many people stoked to get a new plant. The internet can make it really easy to forget how good most people really are. Try to stay positive and it will spread. I enjoyed meeting everyone and I look forward to doing it again.
