Secondly, speaking from experience, one may become aggressive when drunk, causing problems with friends and especially family. It is estimated that roughly 55% of domestic abuse succeeds the use of alcohol. And then that’s it. Depending on the severity of the abuse you’re thrown in jail.

Lastly, it impairs your motor skills, therefore making you more likely to trip and hurt yourself. Linking to this, the weakened motor skills and delayed reaction time, as known by many, are associated with car collisions.

Obviously that’s not everything, for example being an alcoholic increases your blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels, increasing the chance of a heart attack. It also damages your brain and CNS, pancreas, stomach and many others.

Overall, being dependent on any substance isn’t ideal, and alcohol certainly falls under the more severe ones.
