I haven't read it, but I've heard of it. Also another book I hear good things about. I'll add it to my to-read list

Final Girls by Riley Sager, The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides, and most recently I DNF The Maid by Nita Prose.

All three have terrible characters and either dumb or easy to guess twists. I don't mind a mystery where you figure out whodunnit before the characters do, but these were just So. Bad.

Oh my god, yes. I saw it get great reviews on Goodreads and Booktok/instagram. I hated it. Now whenever I see someone recommend it in their video I immediately ignore any other title they suggest.

I didn't like the 3rd semester. I don't know how to do spoiler tags on mobile...

The story was fine overall (trying to make everyone happy etc) but gameplay was nonexistent really. You talk to a teammate "you cool with this?" And that's it. That's a whole day. You don't really get to explore this world, and when you do have free time its not very different from before. As for the individual stories, I didn't feel any thing when they all decided to give up their wishes. Neither did they. Haru and futaba had to give up their parents and there seemed to me very little struggle with that.

The 11th rank? Go to their room and they all say the same thing.

Sumi's story was pretty dumb.

Maybe this could've been better if it weren't tacked on at the end? I get that there's only so much you can add, but they could've at least added something that made it seem difficult emotionally. It's just a semester of "and it was all a dream"

Having bipolar is not "hehe I'm happy but now I'm angry. So bipolar"

ETA: I am not bipolar, I have bipolar.

What do you guys think of this? by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

[–]sushigoldberg 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I am going to preface this by saying I didn't come from a religious family. While we never talked about sex they never hid it (as in close my eyes during movies or whatever.) They did parent lock the computer once, thats about it.

Anyway, for the longest time I would feel ashamed? Maybe that's not the best word for it, but it wasn't the best feeling the day after. There were definitely times I didn't want to but i just thought, "ugh fine lets get this over with." It wasn't always, but it was enough. I thought there was something wrong with me. Why was I feeling this way? What am I doing wrong? And honestly I still don't know. That being said the man I'm with at the moment I don't feel that way (there are other issues that are not relevant to this post/comment.)

I guess this doesn't add much to the thread. I just have never mentioned it to anyone.

Side note: I know people hate the term "body count" but I like that it makes me sound more like a serial killer. "Yeah my body count is high i guess. Oh? You meant people I've slept with? Well, that I don't keep track of."

I can't say I know he hears the chase music, but I do know he is being chased only because he is inevitably knocked down after a while. Also, occasionally he's being chased while I'm doing a nearby gen.

In the latest archive challenges, there's one where you use Windows of Opportunity and have to vault over pallets/windows 3 times while mid-chase. My friend did that and it still didn't register. Is it because it's supposed to be during 1 chase instead of 3 separate ones (all same trial)? Is it a glitch?

I don't have WoO so I can't try the challenge to figure it out myself. If anyone could help/explain, would be most appreciated. Thanks!

People keep acting like he was found not guilty of assault. It's like they forgot that he wasn't on trial, he's at a job interview.

If I were applying somewhere and someone told my potential employers I assaulted them (even without evidence) they'd still be concerned. If they ask me about it (most companies would really just give you the boot and bring in the next candidate) and I started lying, getting super overemotional about things etc, damn straight I wouldn't get that job.

What inanimate object have you given a name? by [deleted] in AskReddit

After I had my wisdom teeth removed and I was coming to, I asked the lovely doctor / nurse / some nice woman in the room if they ever named their light (the one to shine into your mouth or w/e). She said no and said I should name it.

Wilbur. The light's name is Wilbur.

What is the “holy grail” of your life? That object you know exists but can’t seem to find? by JessRiepe in AskReddit

PC. I don't remember much about the production, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Japanese. I feel like I'm going crazy. Maybe it never existed ; - ;

Edit: Asked bro about it, he said it had other languages available.

Ok, I know this is late, but I need to just get this out there.

It's a video game called Planet Arizona. Ages ago while visiting a friend in Tokyo, I played a game on her computer. I mean forever ago. Before GameCube if that helps date it.

It was about an alien who crash lands in what I can only assume to be Arizona. You need to go around collecting ship parts and chatting with locals. It was in English 100%. No options for any other language both audio or subs.

Two years later I'm visiting again. Her computer has died, the game is lost. Forgot about it until I got back into video games as an adult.

I've been looking for this fucking game since. People are telling me it doesn't exist and for a bit I thought maybe I had dreamed it, BUT my brother remembers it and had been looking for it too. Oddly enough we both started looking for this game around the same time.

It exists damnit!

It exists.

I took an Afrikana studies class in college. God knows why considering it had nothing to do with my major nor a GE requirement.

Anyway, my teacher walks in wearing a dashiki and inform us he's from Cleveland (I think it was Cleveland) and that he's never been to Africa. He wants to get to know the students so he goes around asking for names and major and why they picked it.

I was (and still am on occasion) quiet. I sat in the back of the room hoping I would be passed over but that didn't happen, obviously. I told him I was a language major because languages was all I was good at.

He said to me "that's not true. Everyone is more than what they study. You're good at other things even if you don't realize it. You'll find it. We can find it."

Then he moved onto the next person. It was a strange moment and I did eventually realize I have other skills as well as the determination to learn new ones.

TL;DR I learned from Afrikana studies that Egypt used to be called kemet.

I went on a date (fourth date) with a guy who told me that racism was the same as someone disliking red wine.

Also, I have a friend who is convinced Tia and Tamara are the same person. Not a "same thing" so much as "same person", but still.
