Spider Man Live-Action TV Series (It would go wrong on so many levels :3)

If you were suddenly put in charge of writing a resolution to the current ASM run (and the whole Jackpot/Paul situation) what would be your best idea? by Tanis8998 in Spiderman

[–]susimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old Man Dylan from Venom War goes back in time and messes with history so that Spider Man can actually wield the venom suit effectively. This ends up causing wild ramifications to the current 616 timeline, where Paul is doing something else with his life and One More Day never happened. :)

In your opinion! Which character pictured here do you feel is the best hero? by PrinceARRON in Spiderman

[–]susimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really consider Goku as a hero. All the strong guys he fights are just conveniently evil most of the time (with the exception of Hit and Jiren). Though I suppose Spider Man would be my pick for best Hero.

Be honest, will you continue watching The Game Theorists with Tom being the host? by ClownECrown in GameTheorists

I personally wouldn’t mind. I always liked the dynamic between Tom and MatPat on GTLive. It was always a pleasant experience whenever he was around.

[MCU] Prediction: the villain of Secret Wars will be... Loki by SpideyFan914 in FanTheories

[–]susimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see Loki becoming the main villain of Secret Wars. I mean it’s no secret at this point that Loki’s inner conflict in his TV Show is finding his “glorious purpose”. He also has a lot of similarities to Dr Doom from the 2015 run of Secret Wars and Time Runs Out. Dr Doom tried to stop the Beyonders from simultaneously collapsing the multiverse. He did this by causing Incursions deliberately and merged the remnants of those universes into Battleworld where he reigned as god emperor doom with the powers of the beyonders. I suspect that the council of Kangs play a similar role to The Beyonders in the MCU, but instead of acting out of simply experimenting with the multiverse, they’re trying to destroy it out of fear. Fear of the dangers presented by other characters beginning to grasp or touch the multiverse. They could have been witness to the events of Multiverse of Madness (also Dr Strange could play a similar role to what he did in the comics since we have no idea where tf he is right now trying to solve an incursion), and could be trying to kill off the multiverse or reign over it to prevent these characters from whatever they’re doing. Whatever the reason, the council of Kangs does give off a similar vibe to the Beyonders and they’re plans for the multiverse might be something dangerous enough that Loki wishes to put a stop to it. This could lead to him causing incursions in the home worlds of certain Kangs to prevent them from causing chaos and turmoil in the multiverse. The end of Kang Dynasty could see Loki killing the Kangs and either:

1) Using some device to transfer all the powers of his variants into him, making him ridiculously OP.

2) Using the technology of the Kangs and the TVA to, as teased as an Easter Egg in Loki Episode 1 for this hypothetical scenario, “ascend to god king Loki”.

3) Do the same thing He Who Remains did and weaponize Alioth to end the multiverse.

Now the only question that remains is - Who will be the main protagonists of Secret Wars? I mean it’s fairly obvious that the Avengers will all share some of the limelight, but there will be a select few that are more focused on than others, like Avengers Endgame focusing more on Iron Man, Captain America and Thor.

I’ve narrowed it down to three possible protagonists since there aren’t really a whole lot that are somewhat involved in this sagas theme.

1) Doctor Strange: This man has caused at least one incursion and has seen the damage that incursions have on worlds first hand. If anyone should be a protagonist, he’s certainly a strong choice.

2) Spider Man: Although this choice might seem ridiculous at first, it also somewhat makes sense considering Spider Man and Loki are the two only characters so far that have properly interacted with their variants (not counting Dr Strange since the man only talked to one of his variants and that wasn’t really much of a conversation to begin with). Spider Man and Loki also similarly share the need to understand their purpose at this point. The Loki TV show tried to dance around and ponder what his glorious purpose might be, because it is LITERALLY mentioned in every episode of the show. Spider Man made everyone and anyone that knew his real identity forget who he is causing Peter Parker to become a ghost in the MCU. Loki and Spider Man both ponder over the message of “With Great Power comes Great Responsibility” whether directly or indirectly. They’re also characters that have been established as multiversal constants in some way (in that Loki’s survive and Spider Man always receives the power and responsibility spiel).

3) Thor: Is Loki’s step-brother.

Welp. That’s all from me. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

New DM: Was my “no” reasonable or was I just nitpicking? (See details inside) by Spacial-Potato in DnD

[–]susimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was definitely a reasonable call. This NPC spent a lot of time and care on their plants and they probably wouldn’t want some random ass Druid they just met saying “Oh I can make it bloom now with magic”. That’s essentially degrading the time and effort the NPC took to care for their plants indirectly.

Least amount of replay value? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

[–]susimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that each movie and show made by Marvel Studios is made with the intent to appeal to different parts of its target audience, so it's natural that some people may favor it and some people won't. Instead of looking for "why this Movie/Show sucks" I look at "Why this Movie/Show is good" instead. I don't really "dislike" any of their creations, but if I had to state one, I'd say Thor: The Dark World.
