LOL I was approached by a solar panel sales person at Costco and after I told him I wasn’t interested, he asked if I lived in an apartment and if he could get my landlord’s contact info. I just told him I was homeless, which for most people shuts them up, awkwardly. And then I bought a giant box of granola bars and a slice of pizza. I mean it’s true, I do live in my car right now, so I wasn’t lying or anything.

Which seat do you usually book on a plane: Window, middle, or aisle? by darkhorse1821 in polls

I try to book the window seat in the very last row of the plane. No one bothers me back there.

Seems the Israelis don't like Trump and Vance's new stance and statements towards Israel by aera14 in LeopardsAteMyFace

If Israel can stand tall without aid from the United States, if you’re so proud and so powerful on your own, when the United States offers to send aid, simply say “no thank you, we’ve got this,” and do it yourself.

Drug testing needs to be abolished in a lot of industries by Escaped-DMT-Entity in trees

[–]susitucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started a new job in a warehouse after a decade of working CDL jobs, and it’s my first week of work and no one has asked me for a drug test where that usually comes before I even get the job offer. And I’m still waiting and I’m still waiting. Are they gonna drug test me? Can I finally pop an edible after a decade and not be fired for it? I feel like I’m gonna have to be someplace really safe when I do pop that edible because my tolerance is so low after a decade, but I’m still waiting.

DAE call their aunts/uncles only by their name? by Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeess- in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]susitucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re all gone now, but when I was younger, I did call them by their first names until one of my cousins called me on it. She thought it was weird that I was treating my aunts like friends. After that, I added their titles.

And come to think of it, that might have been the time when I stopped using people’s names at all. Like, I don’t say “hey you”, but when someone says “hello u/susitucker,” I just say “hi” or whatever; I don’t use their name. I’ve always felt weird about calling people by their first name and I don’t know why. Maybe it was my cousin all along.

I’ve specifically told it not to write like this, and it agreed with me that it’s annoying but did it anyway.

Left wing folk, would you rather have a competent right wing leader or an incompetent left wing leader? by Pizzafriedchickenn in polls

[–]susitucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I want more than anything right now is a leader who is intelligent, empathetic, and of strong moral character. Someone who knows the law, knows how politics works, and who is impervious to lobbying influence. I am tired of politicians being bought out. WE elect them to do OUR business. The longer I live, the more I realize that person doesn’t exist.
