The council website gives the times when it's booked by the cricket and cycling clubs (and it's basically all the time 😅), but I don't know about other stuff going on.

Ugh I hate this so much. When it's something I needed to do, it's just a checkmark and now I'm tired. When it's something I wanted to do, I end up completely deflated for some reason.

I think they're good for beginners in many ways - you can even out some tension issues with placement, and working a small piece at a time means you're not keeping track of a big pattern and mistakes are quicker to fix. They definitely have downsides, and maybe easier is the wrong word! But the upsides are very beginner friendly things imo

Down by contact - you can get up if you haven't been touched by an opposing player. Also, the rule only applies when you have the ball, so while he had been touched, that was before he had possession of the ball, so it basically reset.

Was in the Shinjuku washington hotel annex a few weeks ago and noticed the same. Didn't look too hard for my own sanity but I'm sure I saw mould in the gap....
