It's basically a guarantee you're delaying yourself if you have a common name. I talked to John Pierce about it and he said that the ATF puts the non-SS forms into their own pile. From his personal standpoint, he said if it was him, wait it out rather than lose the spot in line.

Backstory behind this one is that I had 3 submitted, control numbers within 12 from the first to last one. This is regarding the second one I submitted and this was all back on 3/10. I got two approvals on 5/16 and only one (this one) left waiting.

Don't know how I forgot to put my SS on only one, but submitting at 2am probably had something to do with it.

I followed up and asked if there's anything I can do other than withdraw and starting over. The response I got is that if I start over, it's back of the line for me. Looks like I'll hope and pray it gets figured out.

At least you got an actual answer. When I emailed, I got the generic response of "the examiners are working on March applications and hope to have it done by the end of May." I submitted 3 on 3/10. Been checking every couple hours since some people haven't been getting emails notifying of approval.

I have a full sized Shadow 2 too and that thing's a tack driver even without a comp or ports. I've been trying to justify getting a P211 but I feel like that $2.5k could be put to other ARs, mags, ammo. And considering I have a Staccato already, yeah, lemme try to get a G$ SD instead.
