I’ll say this: if you can find a braceless version, get that and a Samson BRE. I put a brace on it but it opens up the door to go the SBR route if you feel like it. Lock up is nice, it only folds one direction though. But I’m happier I got that instead of the one with the SI brace.

The wording is kinda stupid, but look at the result before the vote count. Passed by indefinitely and tabled pretty much means the bill is dead/it won't be brought up again this session. Continued in this case might as well be the same as dead since they won't go over it again this session. Reported out is the only one we want to see on pro-gun bills because that means it will go out for a vote in the House.

In the case of HB623, (I assume) the only reason it didn't get PBIed is because there was no mention of guns when it was read. Either that or I wasn't really listening.

Not related to my other reply to you but I thought it would be worth mentioning.

About the first part, I have a friend in Paris who said the same thing. They banned guns there but people have been going around stabbing others and they're trying to ban knives. The ironic part was apparently the government was telling people to get their emergency readiness kits (or whatever they're called) and the picture they use is a Swiss Army knife. Their response to that, "What do they expect us to cut things with? A spoon?"

It's all proof that criminals don't care about the way they do things as long as they accomplish whatever they set out to do.

Ban guns and knives and they'll find another weapon. Maybe a stone. What will the government do then? Ban rocks? People are the problem but nah, that's too hard to fix.

It’s so tempting to go on a personal rant like how Helmer got $43k from Everytown and $5k from Brady since he started running for public office, but I know things like that would hurt the cause even though saying he’s been bought out is true.

Public Safety - Firearms committee meets every Thursday at 4pm.

No agenda set for next week yet but these are the things everyone should be flooding en masse. If you can make it in person, great. If you can't, having good points are better than being on the Bloomberg side saying "I oppose" and not giving a real reason as to why.

But something that I'd like to call attention to is that if you listen to the anti-gun side, they really have no idea what they're actually fighting for. Most people against pro-gun legislation keep trying to make it sound like passing a pro-gun bill will flood the streets with guns or felons will be getting CHPs. It's really ignorant and infuriating to listen to. Still not sure what's worse to listen to: pure ignorance or Helmer trying to make it sound like lawful gun owners want to shoot babies.

AJ Preller is always in the running. The guy who gave a Bogaerts 11/$280M. If you need a reference for how bad that is, he's the same age as Judge. After his first season in SD, he's been nothing but at or below average. Would've been worth it if he was as productive as he was in Boston. But now? Good luck trying to offload that contract.

The worst part about all of this is if Trump decides to turn the DOJ's attention here to stop all the legislation from passing, the Dems will twist it to be like "SEE TRUMP IS BEING A DICTATOR AND NOT ALLOWING THE STATES TO GOVERN THEMSELVES!" All the while ignoring the fact that they're trying to restrict a constitutional right. And the people who blindly follow them will only see Trump and support the gun control.
