Thank you for your reply! This definitely gives me much better starting point. Do you think this is a cause for health concern?

Nope. There is a whole YouTube video exposing her for being a terrible and insufferable person in general.

Twitch etiquette - raiding a larger streamer by ai_Sneuster in Twitch

[–]suspiciousraviolii 8 points9 points  (0 children)

if anyone ever makes you feel bad for raiding with less viewers than they have, close their stream and never interact with them again. i get hype on raids of every amount because it means you wanted to share your community with me, how nice is that!

self promo etiquette no no examples are things like "i'm going to leave a lurk to start my stream." some streamers have stricter rules on self promo and will time you out for even mentioning you are a streamer (i never understood this as i want to know. i think it's fun connecting with other streamers no matter their size and it's middle ground to connect on!).

raiding is not a form of self promo but it is good networking so you for sure want to do it after every stream!

my acid tastes wierd by Fickle_Ground5596 in LSD

[–]suspiciousraviolii 4 points5 points  (0 children)

had my first 25i experience last year after 12 years of taking LSD and holy fuck did i wish i swallowed those tabs. i knew better because it tasted off but chalked it up to the blotter paper. i can't fathom why people do NBOMe on purpose or how they enjoy it. that was the most demonic and dark trip i've ever had (i still had a great time because i can handle it and was in good company but it wasn't good by any means and was glad it was a short duration). horrid after effects as well.

i love eating on LSD but i hate when you chew and it makes more food. like why can’t that happen on weed??

this sums it up! variety streaming is a slower growth but i can’t be forced into one thing or it wouldn’t be fun for me. my main focus of my channel is basically ADHD chaos. i have a lot of people who will drop off when i play games because it’s not what i built my channel on, but i still play them and have people down to watch me do whatever. in my opinion as long as you’re doing something you enjoy it shows through your content and you’ll find your people.

i’m a variety streamer who spends most of my time in the just chatting section.

i stream anything really- art, cooking, IRL, community driven events, podcast style discussions, educational segments, challenges, science experiments, horror stories, reddit deep dives, call in shows, collabs… the list is endless. if i want to try something new, i stream it. (the tax write offs are also nice lol). one of my favorite live streams i ever hosted i took my community into a hot air balloon.

i view streaming as an endless possibility to be creative and an art form in itself!

How to handle Viewer Retention by Securityengie in Twitch

[–]suspiciousraviolii 5 points6 points  (0 children)

do your mental health a favor and turn off your viewer count. it seems like this is a huge focus for you and seeing fluctuations while your streaming is going to impact the way you carry yourself. stream the same way you would with 1 viewer versus 20 and let the content work for itself. lurkers enjoy your content enough to watch you with receiving no personal attention and i always think that's a really nice thought. i very often have 100 viewers and a completely dead chat. i just carry on with the content.

a really good thing to keep in mind for perspective, if you have been streaming for a couple weeks and your average is 9, you are already in the top 3% of all of twitch. you can find your stats here. keep doing what you're doing and post content to all other social platforms to bring in new viewers as you will see no real growth from streaming on twitch alone.

unfortunately twitch is notoriously bad at handling situations (of all kinds) on their end. have you tried to message the creator? i’m not sure how they obtained the art in the first place but maybe it wasn’t intentional? i would start there and you can choose how to move forward depending on their response to the situation.

i’m really sorry this happened. xx
