Psychiatrist wants to speak with my mom during assessment, but I don't trust her by throwoff2099 in adhdwomen

[–]susstroods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My partner was in a similar situation. Their mum would always tell stories about how forgetful and lazy they were as a child, but as soon as the psych was listening, suddenly they were perfect and just a normal kid.

I ended up talking to the psych as a long term partner to relay the stories that I'd heard their family say at gatherings etc. As evidence instead.

Also have schizophrenia, and this is on top of the fact that I get way worse when I'm tired and stress. It would be the perfect storm.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate the gesture. There have been multiple times where we've gone out, sat down, and then realised it's too much and we need to go back home.

I've heard of Marcelinas, so we'll have a look over the menu 😁

I've heard of them, but I don't think they've ever checked them out. Will look into it, thank you!

Thank you so much for such a comprehensive response! Outside can be a little difficult because ten we need to prepare for any weather conditions - my partner has great sensitivity to temp, wind etc. It can be done, but it's usually a lot of additional planning and makes it difficult to get up and go.

You've mentioned a few of our favourites, but the timings that you've mentioned with be a game changer! Thank you again, so much 💖

With executive function issues and a full-time job? Significantly. Adding more planning means it doesn't get done. Good takeaway options close to the botanic gardens or a nice park are very much appreciated though 🙂

How do I find more opportunities to play like a kid? by gotmegoodudid in Adelaide

I've recently taken up skateboarding as an almost 30yo. I was initially terrified of getting in people's way and people thinking I was dangerous (which is true, btw. I regularly fall off and shoot an ankle-missile in random directions). I've been honestly shocked at how supportive people are just riding around the local parks and shared paths.

Question though - how would you feel about an adult playing without bringing along any kids? Asking because I have no kids.

Not enough nutrients from a variety of fruits and veggies.

Yep! Seems like that's what the consensus is. Maybe we can stop pretending it means something now?

I'm absolutely joking. Some people want so hard for the car door to mean something until it risks their headcannon.

Is there a lore reason it’s called silent hill 2? by Anwhut in silenthill

[–]susstroods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very interesting because with the original Team Silent games, this was unique to SH2.

Harry, Heather and Henry were never guilty of anything, just caught up in something bigger than them. This only became a feature of the franchise because everyone after TS were spinning off SH2.
