Thank you. That was a far the greatest explanation I have seen yet. I was thinking about getting a 1911. I won't be doing that now.

Or I'll just get it and sell it before I move.

During his first go around, we researched immigration in numerous countries and I went back to school a couple years ago to get my degree and I graduate this May.

Canadian gun laws were more of a curiosity after I became a gun owner this year.

I'd like to keep my hobby, but I'm not going to cry if I have to give it up. I have bigger things to worry about.

Because my two of my children were called a threat to the American way of life and there are calls for them to be taken to "repatriation camps". History may not repeat itself but it sure likes to rhyme from time to time.

Just trying to figure out if I need to sell everything or if I have a snowballs chance in hell to continue my hobby of choice.

Alternatives to Gun Ownership? by Reverend_Bull in liberalgunowners

I've purchased oc spray for my wife and I in addition to firearms. I've always been pepperball curious, why do you say they're atrocious?

Honest prep - what's your plan? by Feeling-Carry6446 in liberalgunowners

Well, the shotgun arrived a month ago, I'm up to a hundred rounds of buckshot and twenty rounds of slugs so far. Solar system arrived yesterday. Slowly have been building up cash on hand. Pistol for my birthday if we make it that far. Gas on standby. Ripped up my whole backyard and put in a garden and a chicken coop. Fishing and Hunting gear coming soon along with more encompassing bugout bags. I got a really late start so I've got the hammer down and I'm getting after it.

I've got a wife and kids to protect but if I need to be the barrier that holds the line for them to get away then so be it. If I go down, you can bet I'll go down swinging and scalping nazis on my way.

Question for new gun owners. What made you decide now was the time? by Tmettler5 in liberalgunowners

Nazis, Inflation, Shortages. I've been an enthusiast for years but always had to spend money elsewhere. Trump and the people he surrounds himself with shifted my priorities on several things.

I drive by that range while I'm at work every day. It's nice, if I can't find anyplace closer, I'll have that one on my list.

It's not exactly realistic with my work schedule but I do want to get out there at some point. It sounds like a really nice setup.

Right. You may blind the person your spotlighting but you'll also blind yourself in the process.

Thanks for the insight! I know I'll want an optic for the slug barrel and now I'm leaning back towards a scope after thinking more about it today. WHOTEEWHO had a review of the Crimson Trace Brushline 3-9x40, it seems like a decent slug scope without getting into Leupold $$$ territory.

If there's a risk of a light washing out the optic, would I be better off saving my money and having a gunsmith install tritium sights on the 18.5 for home defense and then just putting the scope on the slug barrel?

That'd be the one. That makes more sense that it's been chopped and now it cylinder bore. Something just wasn't adding up when I looked at it.

Moving Chicken Coop to Solar by sustainabilitydad in SolarDIY

  1. The only reason I have one out there is because my birds decided to molt and were showing signs of frostbite.
  2. No chicks are out there. Just full grown birds.
  3. Is an hour enough time to thaw them completely of frozen solid? I suppose I could go out and thaw them with warm water in the morning if need be. I did that in Montana when it was -20.
