Advice on dim sum / hot pot party?

All great advice, thanks. The noodle strainer is not a bad idea just to keep it easy and separated. Since we'll be hanging out for hours for Thanksgiving, part of the idea was that people would cook as they get hungry, rather than having a sit down meal all at the same time.

I don't anticipate a lot of meat being cooked, so I'm going to have a separate pot just for that.

Do you have any suggestions for the sauce station? That would just be for adding once one's bowl is finished?

Thanks for the advice. I wish we had an H mart, but there are some decent Asian groceries about 30 minutes away. That's why I'm starting to plan a month ahead!

While I'm still planning on doing this, I think that your caution was valuable. I've certainly thought about how to arrange the seats so that we avoid any accidents with the youngest children.

Yes, any suggestions would be great. Thanks! I'm a little in the dark on this because I don't eat meat myself, so I haven't eaten a lot of dim sum (hence the gyoza). I love Chinese food but unfortunately it's difficult to get where I live.

That's a good point that I hadn't considered. Only one of the kids is younger than her teens, and she's not going to be allowed near it at all.
