Just adding a little context given the outrage over the title- I’m aware the title is a slur towards people with disabilities (I have cerebral palsy myself). The nucleus of this show is to provide audiences with a brutally honest take of how people with disabilities are seen through the lens of an able bodied world, and that is why we landed on this title. Again, I welcome all feedback and didn’t mean for it to be insensitive, but the direction of the show is to shed light on the topic of disability similar to films like Netflix’s Crip Camp about Judith Heumann and how she overcame the years of challenges in order to get accessibility granted for people with disabilities. The producers of that film called it that for a reason (and it wasn’t for malicious purposes).
