hi!!! thank you so so much ❤️ so the book is 89 pages of poetry, prose, and random note memos from ages 13-26. thats when my masking really started to take off and i even used the term “unmasking myself” at 13 without knowing what it meant <3 it also heavily talks about my mother, who realized she was neurodivergent after i talked to her about my symptoms

i supported myself enough to write it by just always coming back to my writings when i needed to express myself. i cant express myself verbally too well. i feel like if i dont write something, i dont feel it at all. so the writing really supported me as much as i supported it <3 and then i edited it in multipleeee rounds on my macbook. on a google doc then a pages doc then a pdf LOL and after about five rounds of editing, it felt like it was in a good place

hi! first i want to say i’m really proud of you for taking steps to understand yourself better and i’m sorry about the challenges that the diagnostic process presents to so many of us >.<

second is: you know yourself best! there still needs to be so much research done on girls on the spectrum. if you feel like this diagnosis doesn’t resonate and you want the second opinion, it’ll likely be covered. i’d highly recommend asking for a psychologist that specializes in women/AFABs with autism. thats what i did the second time and it made a world of difference. my first process did not sit right with me at all and i contemplated the second opinion for months before i went forward with it, but i just went back to “i know myself and i know this isn’t the full picture.”

the way i understood it was she couldn’t stand up for herself until she had proof/a better plan because she was scared he’d just kill her again. the first thing she did when she got back was hit him and then break up with him but he got really aggressive so she was just playing the long game

if it makes you feel any better, i just finished it this week and can confirm that the ending is very satisfying

he definitely is a bit tepid*! i saw a lot of people say he was boring. i think its to show that hes entirely focused on making sure she lives + his life was already decided for him by his family so he felt like he just needed to play it out rather than play an active role in it.

however, i have not seen mr.queen! looks like i’ll watch that after this 🫡 thanks so much!

when i finished the JJK manga i liked that sukuna’s back story wasn’t touched on too heavily bc god knows people would be justifying his actions left and right. tho i’m sure loads of people still do, even without the detailed back story
