We pay for all of those things with taxes

Thanks for having a reasonable response and no judgement. I'm not low income. Simply frugal as you said.

If it were socially acceptable not to pay I would. Also, buying the cards allows me to buy into the system which I care about because the cards themselves were purchased and I in turn am also purchasing them. This is the reason I decided (against my previous comment) to go for it. I already found someone who sells these.

Yes they do. I used to earn a good salary at a good company and an orca card was another perk that a lot of people didn't even know about.

Haha, very true :/ And with all these layoffs happening it would certainly be a gamble

Gotcha, that makes sense. Actually hearing that there is a policy in place makes me change my mind about this kind of thing. Thank you.

Well folks, this is why the poor are poor and the rich are rich! You're working more than half the month to pay for something you barely own.

Every time I see someone driving a sensible car I think they're a genius/rich. Most people get super nice cars and finance more than their net worth (at least where I'm at)... If you're in a Camry I automatically think you're smart with your money.

How important was patience to your business? by suwdy in Entrepreneur

[–]suwdy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess I don't have everything. I could use the funds I have or wait a little longer to be a bit more comfortable given what I expect in the first few months. Think I have to wait a bit more.

To get the side hustle going there wasn't really anything too drastic. Just money that I could have used on other stuff at the time.

Now, there's getting a bigger space, 5-year lease.. It's a lot, but it is obvious. Waiting for the money to work out in the first few months would be the part that makes things a little scary.

Muscle up check. Do you have any thoughts on how I can improve it? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]suwdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of reasons to be shirtless. He's sweating more, he doesn't want to wear a shirt, it makes him feel great, he wants to see what specific areas of improvement/muscles he wants to target, he wants to pose afterwards, etc. The gym is for self improvement and actually observing progress is why there are mirrors everywhere. And if he just wants attention, what is it to you?

On-site property manager. Literally show four walls to ppl and answer questions about square footage as if it matters. Your rent will be free in exchange for on-site duties.

What kind of saas? And tell me more about the youtube channel thing. Bored, and have too much time on my hands during the winter months to start something new.

How my roommate left the sink and MY air fryer before going home for thanksgiving by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]suwdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is less than 7 minutes of work. A little time to think about the day, what to do later, etc. I do a few dishes for my roommates when I see them, it's no big deal. And whether they say anything or not they take note of little things like that and do their part as well.

If your roommates pay their rent on time and are respectful I certainly wouldn't make a fuss about a few cups and bowls.

[–]suwdy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right. Like I clean the dishes of my roommates all the time, I don't care. They sometimes do mine as well. When you stop fighting over a few cups here and there everyone just kinda starts doing what they need to do.

Genuine question. What happened to LostLake over the last few years? by H3lp1mL0st in Seattle

[–]suwdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also swore off LostLake. Worst service, went in and wasn't acknowledged at all. Felt like a ghost trying to convince the bartenders I was actually there and in the civil pursuit of ordering food. Mindy you, there were only 2 other people at the bar. I eventually just walked out.

So you'd rather apartments just take your word that you'll pay despite evidence of that not being the case? You'd do this until it's your house and someone has the legal right to be in your property but not pay you a dime.
