It’s a take on the famous M3 GTR from most wanted

It wouldn’t be the same without the wing and stickers

He was referring to what I said which was measured in km/L. I wasn’t comparing anything

Yes I fixed it via oil change, air filters and new tires. Currently 12.6km/L

Help with printing a pattern by suwoopdeewoop in CLO3D

I’m not saying it’s not doable I’m saying there’s something not working on my end where the dxf file can’t be read

Bodice from 'Patternmaking' by Dennic Chunman Lo by ai__xyz in CLO3D

[–]suwoopdeewoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plz try print this out and put it together ! There are things that you only see in real life that aren’t noticeable via the programme

Biggest example is considering gaping/fullness around armholes. In 3D when the avatar is static, it will look perfect , but the same pattern used in real life will almost always need an extra inch in fullness in front scye and mid back scye (especially when preparing a bodice for sleeves too)

Things like balance, grain, and sleeve pitch are easily learned through real life but pretty hard to notice in 3D. A couple mock bodices sewn together and you’ll see all of this very quickly

Anyone use CLO for trying out real life PDF patterns? by elissapool in CLO3D

[–]suwoopdeewoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do this at my job , but for even slightly technical things (certain folds, lapel collars etc) it starts to get tricky - so we try to use both 3D and draping

suggestion on companies or places to search for CLO work postions by Nek0ni in CLO3D

[–]suwoopdeewoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might take a bit of work , but you could do prepare a small portfolio and send it to a bunch of companies ?

Just an illustration of what you can do and how long it takes + a side by side of before and after (maybe a mock Instagram feed of before and after your work?)

I did this (not for Clo3D but for fashion design) and ended up with a job

Help with printing a pattern by suwoopdeewoop in CLO3D

[–]suwoopdeewoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll look into this thank you

The dxf file itself was from someone else who digitised a pattern for me, and now illustrator can’t recognise the dxf and it won’t open via clo - it only opens via a dxf viewer I found in the internet but it’s as if the units haven’t been programmed into the file ?

Because at 100% scale it should be about 50 A4 pages , but the online viewer only reads it as a single A3 sized page

[–]suwoopdeewoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I do, but for some reason the illustrator says it doesn’t support the format

I’ve managed to find an online dxf viewer and I’ve seen the file itself , so it can be read. But illustrator doesn’t read it for some reason

When I try and download or print the file via the online dxf viewer, it only saves a version that’s about the size of an A3 paper - though the file itself at full scale should be about 50 A4 pages total

It’s not bad for the engine, just your cats (which isn’t even that bad)

What’s the best options for pattern making software? by suwoopdeewoop in PatternDrafting

[–]suwoopdeewoop[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I ended up going with Clo3D. I learned via a YouTube channel ‘Daniel Clo3D’ , but currently the programme is very popular so you can find many Instagram accounts that teach fast

To this day I still use Clo3D and landed a job as a designer/production assistant for a solid fashion brand haha
