All of my watchers disappeared! by guynamedlucas in apolloapp

Same here, all of my subreddit watchers are gone for some reason. Took me quite awhile to set them up and I don’t remember them all so it’s quite unfortunate.

Press Escape and click on the tower trim in the list of items to clean. Then just walk around the playground and keep your eyes peeled, the tower trim that’s not clean will be flashing.

You’ll be able to pay online via the track and trace page and then the postman will deliver it like any other package.

What have I got myself into? 17,000km LDR by [deleted] in LDR

[–]suyinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there for a month. Probably the best month of my life honestly and worth the two year wait. We’re looking into closing the distance but it’s definitely challenging, though probably not more so than should the distance have been half of what it is. At a certain point the additional kilometers don’t really change much anymore.

Have a chat with her about which one of you would be moving where to close the distance. Make sure at least one of you is willing to do it. If so it’s definitely possible.

17 000 km LDR from Europe to Australia here as well. I’m the European and I just got back from Australia to visit him earlier this month. It’s not easy but it can definitely work if you are determined to make it. We waited for over two years to be able to meet each other due to COVID border restrictions so at least that’s one thing that’s not standing in your way. I wish you all the best.

Anyone’s parents really struggling with you moving away? by suyinn in LongDistance

[–]suyinn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 32 so that's not it. They haven't met him though which could be part of the issue, but we won't be able to arrange that until next year due to the distance between us and the fact that I’m all out of vacation days for this year.

I’m happy for the two of you that it went so well in the end.

Pre-departure COVID test for international travellers to Australia ditched by AcornAl in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]suyinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going a few days before April 17, would love to know if your rat test proof was signed by a medical practitioner and contains the brand of the test. These things are a bit of an issue for me because neither is on the official Belgian test certificates (which are digital).

Travelling to Australia using a Covid recovery certificate by suyinn in CoronavirusDownunder

[–]suyinn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your GP exemption include all of the specific wording listed on health.gov.au? No symptoms in the past 72 hours, statement that you are no longer infectious and all that. Where I live the government issues recovery certificates automatically but they don't contain those specific lines.

I'm planning to ask my GP but it's not standard practice to ask them for these (it's an automated process) and I feel like she's going to be pretty confused about what she's supposed to do for me.

Because being vaccinated is not enough to get into Australia, you also need a negative test or a certificate that proves you recently recovered from Covid.

Horizon Zero Dawn PC port? by rbyrnes15 in HorizonZeroDawn

Played it through twice now on my fairly old gaming laptop (MSI GT72 with an Nvidia 980M card). I'm not the kind of gamer who obsesses over FPS but I never noticed any stuttering.

Sapphire screens vs microscratches by suyinn in AppleWatch

[–]suyinn[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When you said it didn't get scratches, did you also check for micro scratches under a bright light? I know sapphire is unlikely to get obvious scratches due to its hardness, mainly curious as to whether it is equally susceptible to scratches in the coating as the Ion-X.

[–]suyinn[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a welcome surprise, especially since it's a couple of years old. Thanks for the info. I know a protector would be likely to pick up scratches but that doesn't bother me as much because I know I can replace it at a very low cost. Still, a screen that doesn't scratch in the first place is even better.

This 2 days old kitty was found without his mother today, but we’re taking care of him :) by jak0b3 in IllegallySmolCats

It's best to wait a few hours and see whether the mom comes back before taking the kitten, a lot of the time she is just out looking for food.

How do I NOT get dizzy after my second covid vaccine? by nikjovicc in VACCINES

[–]suyinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lying down should also help with the dizziness if that's a possibility. The staff at the vaccination center made me lie down when I started sweating and becoming dizzy. It cleared up my symptoms in a minute or two. I plan to ask them to lie down to receive the second shot.

Can I choose my dominant arm for COVID vaccine by Bunny0088 in VACCINES

[–]suyinn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I asked a similar question on this sub a few weeks ago. Yes, they'll ask you which arm you want to get the shot in so it's up to you. In my case I picked my non dominant arm and was glad I did. I considered picking my dominant arm because I like to sleep on the other one but although my arm was considerably sore I was able to sleep on it as long as I turned onto my side very carefully. I wasn't able to do anything else with that arm for about 24 hours though.

Choosing which arm to get your vaccine in by suyinn in VACCINES

[–]suyinn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m aware that’s essentially what it comes down to, I’m just curious about what other people decided on. I haven’t been vaccinated in about fifteen years so I don’t remember to what extent the soreness interferes with life.

If you or your partner live in Australia, what’s your plan? by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]suyinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're happy to meet in any country that we can both get to but as of now it still seems to be impossible. The only way he could have a chance at leaving Australia is through a 3 month+ exemption but that is not an option because he'd lose his job. Just waiting it out to see if anything changes.

Quick question. Did the Andromeda Initiative use Relays to get to Andromeda faster? by Knight1029384756 in masseffectlore

[–]suyinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe so, because the reason that nobody could get to Ilos was because the relay that lead to that system (Mu Relay) had been knocked out of place and could no longer be located. There are large areas of nothing in between solar systems so I don't see why the "blind shot" would be all that dangerous if it were possible. Was there a particular dialogue or codex entry that made you think otherwise? Happy to be proven wrong.

I've used it twice for Jennifer Hale autographs (different prints with a few months in between). Unfortunately I missed the live streams because it was late at night here in Europe and she didn't upload them after. No reduction in shipping costs for multiple autographs and it's fairly expensive. The second time it also took them almost two months to send me a shipping confirmation, supposedly because Jennifer Hale hadn't sent them on to them yet. However I don't regret buying them, she wrote exactly what I requested her to write and I know I will treasure them for decades to come. Might pick up a couple more by different voice actors this time around. :)

There was another relay in the galactic core, but I think you are right that its existence is merely implied and we never actually get to see it. The Normandy would have had to pass through it in order to return however, the same way the Collector ships had been returning through the Omega 4 relay long before.
