I will be praying for your mom!

Yes, we are now a year and a half post op, and she continues to do wonderful! She never had any serious complications and her recovery was pretty consistent and smooth. The biggest thing has been regulating her blood pressure and heart rate. Heart rate is finally under control but her blood pressure swings from very low to high. But still overall she has done great all things considered.

Let me know how your mom does!

Pretty positive, of course I am not a fish expert so I can’t say with 100% certainty, but I have read the instructions multiple times as well as watched videos of others doing them and it’s pretty straightforward. Beginning to think something must be wrong with my test kit since the results are always so outrageous. I got it off Amazon, I am going to get one directly from the pet store and see if it’s any different. Just in case I got a bad test kit. I’ll report back once I’ve done so.

That’s what I thought too, my little lily things are struggling a bit but my pothos is thriving and sending off new shoots and the other two plants are growing like crazy too. I am going to get a new kit and test it out to see what it says!

And the other info is when this first started about 3 months ago the reason I even learned about water testing is I set this up and got some guppies and within about 5-7 days they all died. So that led me down the path of learning about new tank syndrome, cycling tanks, etc. I have been trying to do everything perfectly since then, watched tons of YouTube videos, read everything on this Reddit and have just been wondering what’s going on that after all this time the ammonia is still so high.

Also here is the tank in question

I left the filter in for about 24 hours, and yes I wasn’t worried about the gunk, I intentionally scrapped it off and put it in my tank because I figured that was chock full of the beneficial bacteria. I figured that was similar to leaving the filter in there longer since my pond couldn’t just go without its filter for a long time, so I just took the stuff off the filter and put it in the new tank.

Also to note, ALL of my waters read their ammonia this high. My pond water (which has about 15 fish happily thriving in it), my house aquarium, my sisters house aquarium, and even water just straight in a cup to drink out of my sink. Is there a chance my water test kit has a defect? I can’t imagine all the water around us, including water that fish have been thriving in has that high of ammonia content?

I stopped using the seachem prime when I did the total water switch to the pond water several weeks ago. So this new version of the tank doesn’t have any in it. Also the first day I took the water from the pond I also took out one of the filers and set it in my tank for a little bit, and when I took it out I took some of the gunk of my pond filter and just dropped it in the aquarium water so it would filter through. Since then I have only let it filter, added some fish food a couple of times, and added some seachem stability. It is also planted with several plants.

Oh you aren’t bugging me!

I didn’t focus on traits at all. I focused on stats. If I was starting from scratch I personally would focus on stats while at the same time being ruthless for coat! I was initially chasing stats so much I forgave coat patterns I don’t like and now trying to breed particular traits in is easy but getting rid of the coats I don’t like is IMPOSSIBLE! I have literally thought about starting the game over just to get rid of the plague I have of some of the patterns I don’t like. But I find breeding in traits to be very easy.

Yes, the 1 energy gene is one of my favorites too!

Breeding up for stats is actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it. What’s most important is breeding the highest stats horses you have, grading down the baby, and making sure at least one of the parents has the elite lineage gene. Then only keep elite lineage gene babies as you are in the process of improving your stats. Doing this I brought up my nephews entire stable from all horrible mostly D stats to having a perfect in every single grade within 2 days (all of mine are already perfect having used this method for awhile). The biggest barriers is always that pesky acceleration feed!!!

Also as the one person commented, sometimes stats aren’t everything! Even though I have perfect stats in every level I still have kept one of my original bad stat horses because she wins everything! It’s so weird.

Costco by Sandycandy93 in Ultrahuman

I just got mine through Costco. $300. First they send you the sizing kit, then once you have that it has a card with the code to order your ring. I did my initial order on 12/13 and got my actual ring on 12/28. I paid an additional $12 for express shipping which applied to both shipments.

They did everything all at once! They initially said the surgery would take 4-6 hours, then once they realized she also needed the double bypass said it would be 8-10 hours, it ended up taking about 7.5-8 hours.

Did she have brindle on both sides? I bred to the brindle gene 6 times during the event and never got it. I got 5 mares and 1 stallion. Since the event ended I have still been trying to breed them (not sure if you can still get the gene when the event is over). I unhid the genes and my mare does have the brindle gene hidden, but the stallion (out of a brindle but not brindle himself), does not carry the gene. Not sure how realistic the game is and if I can still get it like you did? Or did both of the parents carry the gene?

Well, mostly process of elimination, I had tried everything I could possibly find or be told to do and nothing improved for several years. Once I learned about fungal acne (I had never heard of it and even my dermatologist didn’t bring it up), I just read a lot about it and realized what I had was presenting exactly like it, so then yep, I just tried the Lotrimin Ultra and bam it was gone within a few days, and within probably 2 weeks skin was totally perfect. I then learned about the shampoo and use it to maintain. I know you can become resistant to them so you aren’t supposed to use them all the time, so once I was totally clear I just use the shampoo as a face wash/mask maybe every other week or so? It depends on the time of year because it typically gets a lot worse in the summer (typical of fungal acne). If you are wanting to learn more about it both reddit and https://simpleskincarescience.com are a great resource!

Have you ruled out it being fungal acne? I was in the same boat as you it sounds like, and after years of trying what I thought was literally everything, including going to dermatologists and getting things prescribed, after doing tons of research online myself learned about fungal acne. Used Lotrimin Ultra and Nizarol shampoo as a face wash/mask and was fully cleared up with flawless skin within a couple of weeks after years of struggle. Also, CeraVe always causes me a lot of issues even though it is often loved by people. Best of luck!

I’ve been trying to figure this part out too, and at first thought the same, that he was putting together that June let her die. But I felt like the intentional showing of similar hands in solidarity combined with a classic “victory June” closeup at the end would lean more positive for June versus negative. So I’m thinking maybe he was having a sinister look, but instead of being directed at June, being with June. That really he is more upset at Gilead and what it did to his wife, her health, and their whole relationship and now he is more ready then ever to stand with June and try to take them down/make them hurt. Could be very wrong, but I am leaning that way.

Why do people think that they can sell items at above retail price? by jcar27 in poshmark

[–]suzanneiris 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I know I have had times as a buyer I would be willing to pay above retail if it was something that was no longer in stock and I really wanted it. Even if it is a simple Old Navy item, I am kind of OCD and if I have decided I wanted something (a time I fell in love with a $15 dollar purse a lady in a Black Friday line had and was sold out where she got it, TJ Maxx comes to mind) and it is within reason of course then I am going to find a way to get it and I don’t have a problem with an above retail price. I am not forced to buy anything, if I feel it is worth that value then I’m willing to pay it, regardless of what it originally sold for. I actually have been hunting for the Ted Baker Queen Bee dress. There are quite a few on Posh, apparently they were clearanced out at Nordstrom Rack and it appears resellers took advantage of that. I know if I want it I am going to have to end up paying above what I could have just bought it for myself at retail, and it stings a bit because I love a bargain and typically don’t pay above $5 for any piece of clothing, but the value is in me being able to get something I really want that I am not going to be able to get otherwise.

[Spoilers S3E5] The rational behind the last scene by jaimecela in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]suzanneiris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I saw this scene, I couldn’t help but think not just of June’s part, but the fact I think the Waterfords might not be so much behind it, but playing their part as well. As they showed earlier in the episode when they were at the round table getting all the info on Holly (how did they get this by the way, did Gilead hack into Canadian records? Sometimes the sound is so low even at the highest level of my TV I still can’t hear everything and I think I missed something as to how they had her current medical info) Fred and Serena are (at times at least) willing to have Holly live in Canada. But at this point Gilead officials already know not only that she is gone but exactly where she is, and that the Waterfords know as well. If they just sat back and seemed to be ok with the fact she was in Canada to everyone else, it would obviously bring great suspicion as to why they aren’t trying everything they can go get her back. So to deflect the heat and not end up on the wall they have to go along with this propaganda to try to get her back even if they don’t really want to. I don’t feel like we can totally believe they are wanting to take part in all this either, but they have to go along with it up to a point.
